Rebecca's 30th!

We had a totally fabulous 30th birthday weekend for Rebecca!  We went to Dallas market, Blaine's for fancy hair, and then to dinner at Dish.

After our Dallas "business trip," we headed straight to Ruston for the family birthday dinner.  Virginia, Robbie, Cameron, and Mary Claire are moving back to Ruston to they were in town house hunting.  Looks like they'll be your neighbors, Merideth!

Pumpkin Carving Party

We hosted a pumpkin carving/decorating party at our house on Sunday.  I LOVE all things fall and Halloween so of course, I love this party.  We had the SS class over for the afternoon.

BREW 2013

 Neil got us tickets to Brew, Shreveport's beer festival.  It was a total blast for me since I am pregnant and had to drink water.  I was really fine because I don't have to drink to have fun!  I liked drinking my water out of the fancy beer glass, though.  The weather was FABULOUS and we enjoyed time with friends all day.  Since Red River Brewing is launching their new brewery this Thursday...we thought we'd better go out and support them!  We are so excited for them!

Dad let us take his car because he needed mine to be able to pick up Henry.  He was excited to spend time with him.  They had Chick-Fil-A and Henry ate 6 nuggets and fries!

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 14 Weeks

Size of baby: a lemon (from Babycenter.com)
Bennett loves asking "how big is your baby now? or "when is it going to be the size of an orange?"

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Lost 2 pounds

Maternity Clothes: All regular clothes

Gender: We aren't finding out and I really want to!

Movement: none, so far

Sleep: I sleep really well.

What I miss: having energy

Cravings: I have been loving cold fruit, salads, and Apple Jacks.  I am dying for a cold turkey sandwich which is something I NEVER want.  Can't risk the listeriosis.

Symptoms: a little nausea and tiredness

Best Moment this week: going to the doctor yesterday and hearing the sweet heartbeat of 156 and finding out that I get an ultrasound next time!

Fall Festival

Bennett's school has the best fall fest around!  It is tons of fun and raises lots of money for the school. I love that the fall fest has food so we don't have to worry about cooking or messy up the kitchen! :)  Although we had a plan in place weeks ago, I was vetoed and we didn't enjoy dinner there.  Maybe next year when Henry is in K-3!

They have a bake sale and they ask for donations.  I couldn't wait to make these Frankenstein twinkies that my favorite blogger makes.  She only makes desserts and I LOVE that!  These things were an undertaking but so fun to make!  I even had people come up to me at the fest telling me how cute they were!  Megan even sent me a text of Addison holding hers!

Each class enters pumpkins into the pumpkin contest.  Bennett's class had the cutest ones!!  They had a pumpkin banana split!  He was proud!

Bennett stayed at this water balloon shooter.  This totally paid for his arm band.  He LOVED this!

We headed to the gym for games and fun.

Someone sent Bennett to jail.  No idea who!

Henry finally arrived!  Neil sort of forgot to pick him up.  Oh well, he made it and had so much fun!

We are thankful that Nana was able to take Bennett back with her to Ruston.  He was out of school today and we had his fall conference.  Thank goodness for Grandparents!
