Pumpkin Shine!

Our pumpkin shine display was super sweet this year!  All 3 babies enjoyed contributing to the display!

Fall Break Fun!

When you ask Bennett what his favorite place to go on vacation is-he always says "Mrs. Jill's lake!"  It is so much fun riding 4 wheelers, having scavenger hunts, doing fires, cooking, and hanging out with friends!  Laid back!

We went a day later than everyone else because Bennett puked and we had to wait the 24 hours until we could be around people.  Luckily, everything was fine and we were able to go!

Jill's Aunt Judy did a fun scavenger hunt for the kids and she drew a map!  The red stars are prize locations.

We dug, shopped, ate, and played.  It's the best every year!

Pumpkin Shine on Line 2018

This year our school theme for Pumpkin Shine was "Set Sail for Fairfield!"  Each grade has a specific theme to make our display.  1st grade (Henry) was anything pirate related.  He painted a pirate ship and didn't want ANY help!  It turned out pretty great!

Bennett's grade (4th) was anything US water related (due to them studying US history). He did Blue Mountain Beach.

Sister doesn't go to school with them, but wanted in on the action-she (I) made a pirate treasure chest.

We had about 10-12 blue tablecloths for the "water."

She was so proud!

He did great!  We borrowed sand from a friend!

Fabulous Fall Break with Friends

Jill was so sweet to invite all of us to their lake house for some family fun! We had so many fun things planned for the kids, but mainly we just wanted to get-away.  Each family was in charge of a set of meals which made it really easy.

It was such a fun way to divide it up!  

The kids played so well and just get along so great...and so do the parents!

They worked so hard getting this stump chopped down and we even set the fire around it!  Killed it right off!

Our hope was for the kids to just play in the woods-without us.  We didn't want to let them be Lord of the Flies or anything-we just wanted them to create games and have fun.  Some kids were too scared (mine) and others had a blast!

Our sweet friends gave us a TON of fireworks so we had a fancy show on the beach at their lake.  So much fun!
