Out to eat

We have eaten out so much lately.  This is mainly because we are ALWAYS on the go.  I love to cook, but it is time consuming and sometimes it's is just easier to let someone else do the cooking and cleaning.

We got to see Merideth and Molly on Saturday at Portico in Ruston.  Molly had fun feeding Henry.  She was even wearing the monogrammed bow we gave her for her birthday!

After church on Sunday we met the Price's at Oyster Bar.  We planned to go to Another Broken Egg, but it was too packed.  Julia and Bennett had fun watching a movie on Neil's phone while stuffing their faces with chips.

Henry is now trained to say "cheese" whenever I break out my camera!

1 year no-smokeaversary

We are all sooooooo proud of Rebecca!  She has totally turned her life around this past year and we can all see that God is truly working in her life.  One thing that has thrilled us all and her is that she quit smoking!  On April 21st, she had 1 year of no tar, nicotine, and other toxins going into her body!  Yessssssssssssss!!

Of course, we had to celebrate this momentous occasion because I LOVE TO CELEBRATE EVERYTHING.  Her family and my family all joined together for a fabulous dinner.

No smoking cookies!!

Yay!!!!  We are so proud of you!

Red River Brewery Crawfish Boil

I've mentioned a couple times on this little blog about Red River Brewing Company.  Well, they have hit it BIG!   They moved into their new building and have some big, heavy duty equipment in already.  The Thrash team had a welcome to the new place crawfish boil for them today.  We felt special to be included (lots of people were included...I still felt special).  Wish I would have gotten more pictures!   Jared gave us a little tour of the place.

Neil, Jared, and Cole

These hold 265 gallons of beer!

I don't know if this is weird or cool having by babies in front of the beer fermenters??!
We headed to Minden for crawfish with the Lewis fam right after.  I am about crawfished out!

Baehr Crawfish Boil

I am so glad we went to my cousin's crawfish boil last weekend.  It is great to be with family.  Staying at Carrie's house has lots of advantages and TONS of amenities!  I had my own room with Bennett on his fancy Spiderman sleeping bag and Henry had his own room in the weight room.  It was a great set-up.  We all slept in pretty late (7:15am) due to the fact that we were all up until midnight after the Astros game.

We got moving and grooving and Carrie had a delicious breakfast of cinnamon rolls, eggs, and bacon ready for us.  We all got ready and headed to the hotel to pick up Pops and head to H&M for a second.  I have to say I wasn't near as impressed with the Houston one as I was the Denver one.  I got something for all of us, though!

We got back to Carrie's and the jumpy was set-up.  This was a major distraction for little boys that needed to eat their lunch!

love him
so cute!!

There is just something I love about boys in matching clothes.

Week of the Young Child

H-Beauty had all kinds of fun events for Week of the Young Child at his school.  I broke away from school early to attend his cake and ice cream party.  Becky was in town for work and was able to meet me at the facility to see Henry!

Such a sweetie...can't stand this pic of me

Aunt Becky and Henry ($5 outfit from 3 Little Monkeys b/c already monogrammed=steal!)
The last day of the week was the St. Jude Trike-a-thon.  They were supposed to wear read and ride their toys.  You had to bring your own toy.  There were no less than 60 ride-on toys at that place when I picked him up.  Pops was so sweet to go see him on his trike.  He even took Carolyn's camera to document for me!!!  He loves the blog, so he knew I needed proper photos.

His teacher, Shancey and Henry

Big smile!!

Time to ride!  I do not know where that jacket came from

And there you have it!  Dad said he didn't know how to ride it.  I guess he didn't see the push handle on the back! :)

Houston Astros Game

We headed out to Houston last Friday night for my cousin, Carrie's crawfish boil.  We were excited that Uncle Mike came up with the idea for us to attend the Astros game.  I've only ever been to a Rangers game and my boys have never been to a MLB game.  I was excited for all of us to go.  The game started at 7:10 and we arrived around 8:30 at the game.  Henry is usually in bad by 7:15 so it was going to be a late night for him.  Both boys were GREAT at the game.  I think the key was getting there late so they didn't have to sit through all 9 innings.  Another key was to have plenty of people to pass each child to!

It was so much fun to have my whole family there....minus Neil, of course.  He was excited to stay home!

It was a special night because they had fireworks after the game!

Our gang after the game!  You can see Bennett's head at the bottom of the photo

Bennett and I had to leave during the fireworks because he is just terrified.  We tried to watch a little bit, but he was tensing up and had his hands over his ears.  He was happy to go to the "mother's room" until they were over.
What a fun evening!  Both boys were passed out before we even got out of the parking lot.  We didn't even make it home until 11:45pm!

T-ball

Bennett is really loving t-ball.  He does get a little impatient when he has to wait to bat, but other than that he is enjoying it.  Coach Jason is great with the kids.  He says it's pretty much like herding cats and he is right!  This was only our second practice and I think it went a lot better than the first.  The kids seem to love getting out on the field to play with each other.

Henry loves playing at the field during practice

How many dads does it take to run 1 t-ball practice?

Bennett making it to 1st to see the 1st base coach, Daddy!

Action shot!  He is a great batter!

He made it to first!

Running home!
