Cheers to 12 years!

Happy Anniversary to the only person I'd want to spend 49 nights in a hotel room with!  Can't believe we've been married 12 years and together 16 years!  We went to our favorite: Franks Pizza and then we had a happy ending at our other favorite: Asia Massage.

2 of my favorites: Neil and Luxardo cherries

Lemonade Stand

Bennett has such a sweet heart!  He is so generous ad giving.  He knows how much Shreveport Little League is struggling from Neil being on the board.  So, he got the idea to have lemonade stand to raise money to make the fields better! We went to the store and bought some cups, a poster board, and lemonade for our stand.

He made the poster and even carried the table out to the end of the driveway by himself!

Our first customer and our only repeat customer: Dennis the mailman

"Lemonade for Shreveport Little League" $1 per cup  It was all his idea to make the 1 a bat and the 00 baseballs.  I love it.

Here he is giving Ryan, the treasurer, the $73 he made at his lemonade stand!  Ryan said "Why don't you just want to keep this money?" Bennett said "because I want to help!"  What a good kid!

Bennett's Bible Presentation

Our church has a wonderful tradition where they present a Bible to each 3rd grader.  What a wonderful family-filled morning!  We were so thrilled that Rebecca, Daniel, Dad, Carolyn, and Richard and Janine all came to celebrate their favorite 3rd grader!

Our celebrating was short lived because Neil and I were called of church to check on Sarah Kathryn.  Apparently she had fallen and her chin busted open spilling blood all over her dress and the floor.  They had to change her into some old clothes they had in a storage bin.  Poor girl!  Glad she is A-OK.  Thankfully we had some friends look at her chin and they determined she only needed glue.  No stitches for our girl.

We returned to church and sat on the back row with no family, a bloody dress, and a sad little girl.  Memories!

How sweet!

They are extra sweet with their dabbing.

He was so glad Nana and Granddad were there!

The crew!  So glad everyone celebrated with us!

We were glad that Keegan, Anna Claire, and Jenny joined us.

God Bless Bennett! (cross cookies for the favors)

And Happy 41st Anniversary to Nana and Granddad!

We got to celebrate them, too!

9 years of bliss!

We celebrated our 9 year wedding anniversary a couple days late.  I went to Ruston for Rebecca's business launch party on our actual anniversary: May 24th.  Rebecca gave us a sweet card with a #9 sparkler candle! How sweet!

Sadly, we had to stop by my 2nd cousin's visitation before our dinner.  He passed away tragically a few days before after a horrible accident.

We went to Don Juanz (our favorite) for a delicious meal.  When Neil got the drinks I sneaked the candle to the cashier and he brought it out all lit up to us after we ate.  Neil was loving being surprised.  Not.  He doesn't like attention called to him!
Happy 9 years to us!

We had a happy day!  We are really looking forward to our 10 years when we will hopefully go on a trip! yahoo!

7 years!

Neil and I have been married for SEVEN years! It's been a great 7 years. We've had ups and downs and lots of happiness. This past year with being pregnant and Neil being in Tulsa was probably the hardest so far but I really feel that it made us so much stronger.  We missed each other so much and are so glad to all be back together.

In seven years, we've had 3 sweet babies that have totally rocked our worlds for the better.  We come a long way from those fun nights at Rabb's in 2003. Can't believe we've been together for 11 years!  1/3 of our lives have been with each other and I just love that.

Our engagement picture...

This oldie makes us look sooooo young!

Here we are at our anniversary dinner. Mom kept the boys so we could go. I'm thankful for our parents who want us to have date nights and trips together. They make it easy to leave the kids because we know they are in good hands.  I'm not ready to leave my sweet baby girl just yet. I wanted to cover up my fat with a sticker but this is what I look like so might as well leave it.

We are entering a new chapter in our lives because we are trying to downsize homes and get more focused on family. I'm so excited about this new chapter. We can't get this precious years back with our kids and we are ready to savor every minute!

Happy SEVEN years, Neil! Can't wait for 77 more!

6 year anniversary!!!

How exciting that we just had our 6 year anniversary!!  Next month we will have 10 years together!  Time flies when you are having fun!  It really does seem like these years have flown by.  I love going through life with my BFF.  Neil surprised me with a fancy bottle of perfume because I've dropped 2 bottles of perfume in the last 5 months!  He even wrapped it in pool noodle to make it safe from my clumsy hands!  He gave me a box of candy since year 6 traditional gift is candy!

Neil is so sentimental and loves a theme just as much as me.  He made this "Lewis kind of anniversary!"  We started out the evening by dropping the kids off with Nana and Grandad.  We then headed to the Lewis House, a bed and breakfast!   Neil's grandfather was born in the house and the lady who owns it knows more about Neil's family history than he does! We checked in and went to our room, the Majestic Suite.  It was fancy and had it's own private bath.  It was a tad creepy because there were dolls everywhere.

We were excited!!
We headed to Raw for our anniversary dinner.  We enjoyed the "Lewis" roll for an appetizer to add to our Lewis filled weekend.

Here we are at Raw in Ruston.

We headed to Portico for an after dinner drink before heading back to our Majestic Suite.
We had such a fun evening celebrating 6 years and just think...it all started right here in Hawaii (wink)...

Neil and Lindsey in Hawaii at Waimea Canyon.

I let Neil open his gift when we got back to the room.  He opened it and asked if the Christmas elf had come because there was just a bunch of random items in a bag...but they were all clues!!

a baseball, an airplane, and an apple...hmmmmmmmmmm

Neil said "am I going on a trip to see a baseball game in New York!?" Yessssssssssss!!  I surprised Neil with going to NYC with me in July!  I was originally just going with my dad, but now we are all going.  I'm so glad he wants to go!  I even asked his boss a couple months ago if he could be off and arranged child care.  Yay!!!

CJ, the owner of the Lewis House asked Neil to invite the rest of the crew for breakfast.  She wanted to pick Richard's brain on Lewis family history. One thing she said that was a little crazy was that she sent her son to Chamberlain-Hunt because the Lewis's sent their kids there.  WHAT??  That is where Richard went to high school.  Anyway our quiet breakfast before getting the kids turned out to be a family filled one.  Fine with us...we love these people.

Fancy breakfast including a bell in case we needed her

That person holding Henry is me..At first glance I look just like my mom

Bennett had a blast!

Happy 3 years Neil!

Neil and I had our 3 year anniversary today. We got to celebrate after work with dinner at Chianti. I have been craving some Italian food and it was really good, but the company was better. We just ate and laughed the whole time. It seems weird that we have only been married for 3 years because we have been together for 7. Happy 3 year anniversary to my wonderful husband!

Anniversary Gift

Neil and I will have our 3 year anniversary on Monday. We decided to get this camera for our anniversary gift. It was really a nice surprise for me. We have been talking about it for a while and then Neil said "let's go look at them at Best Buy." I was so excited!

He said that I use my point and shoot camera so much that he wanted me to have a nice camera. Everyone we have talked to about these fancy cameras says that they are worth every penny. I plan to take a little class this Summer to learn how to use it.

Happy 3rd Anniversary Neil!!
