Rebecca and Lillian's BEE-utiful shower!

We got home from NYC and 3 days later we got to go to a shower for Rebecca and Baby Lillian James!  YESSSSSSSSSS!  Showers are our favorite especially when they are for someone we love!

This shower was supposed to be at another location, but ended up moving to Neil's grandmother's old house.  I thought that was pretty sweet.

Showering Rebecca and Lillian James

This is not a post about me at all, but goodness gracious I CANNOT WAIT TO BE AN AUNT!  I just had to get that out of my system.

Anyway, Sarah Kathryn and I headed over to Simsboro for the prettiest shower for Rebecca and Lillian.  We were so happy to be there to shower our favorite girls!

Tons of the Lewis side came for the shower!  Missy even drove down from Little Rock to be there!

These cookies!  Pretty and Delish

Maybe a little too much help

This was a little dress that was Rebecca's. SK got to wear it and we just passed it back to her for Lillian.  yes!

39 weeks with Baby #3

Bennett said "Dad, now you go get in the picture with Mom!"  Neil promptly did the prom pose!

PregnancHighlights:

How Far Along: 39 Weeks

Size of baby:  over 6 pounds according to Babycenter (watermelon)

Total Weight Gain/Loss: millions

Maternity Clothes: nothing fits! I wear Neil's t-shirts, stretch pants, and lazy clothes.  I was excited that it cooled off a bit yesterday so I could bust out a big open cardigan.  I have 1 pair of jeans that fits.

Gender: We aren't finding out!  How I want the gender to be revealed: I want Neil and I to be able to spend a few minutes alone with our new baby.  We want someone to go get the boys and let them come in and meet their brother or sister.  Then, they will go out and let the family know...I would also like it filmed.  You know how childbirth goes so my fun plan will probably be out the window...but I can plan, right?

Movement: kicking and moving while I am still...I start to get nervous if I don't feel movement for a while

Sleep: I'm not sleeping very well.  I am up all the time to use the restroom.  When I am on my right side, I have the worst hip pain.  I think this is stemming from a random pain I am having near my right groin.  It goes down to my knee and just plain hurts. Who knows!?

What I miss: pain-free living due to tail bone/hip issues...it really feels like my pelvis is breaking every time I get out of bed. And I want to sleep on my back.

Cravings: I have been loving grape juice, anything blueberry flavored, dry cereal, salads, and parfaits.

Symptoms:  Same ole', same ole'.  Just getting bigger and bigger by the day.  Feeling VERY tired.  I am constantly worried about this baby!  I guess it's my 3rd so I just get scared.

Best Moment this week: Going to the doctor and hearing the heartbeat today which was 142. I am dilated 2.5 cm, 50% effaced, and the baby is very low she says at a -2.  We scheduled my induction for next Tuesday (my due date).  I want to go into labor but I do not want to go past my due date.  Casey gave me the idea of asking Dr. Tynes to strip my membranes...I called back and asked them and I am pretty sure they are sick of hearing from me.  They said I wasn't dilated enough.  :(

38 weeks with my baby #3!

PregnancHighlights:

How Far Along: 38 Weeks

Size of baby: a little over 6 pounds according to Babycenter (pumpkin)

Total Weight Gain/Loss: millions

Maternity Clothes: Mostly maternity...my maternity stuff barely fits now! I am just going to stay in yoga pants.  I am done working now so I can! :)

Gender: We aren't finding out!  I had 2 bows made pink and blue to go on the large wooden safety pin Jenny used on her hospital door.  So glad she let me borrow it!

Movement: kicking and moving while I am still...I start to get nervous if I don't feel movement for a while

Sleep: I sleep really well except for my every 1-2 hour bathroom breaks and hip pain

What I miss: pain-free living due to tail bone/hip issues...it really feels like my pelvis is breaking every time I get out of bed. And I want to sleep on my back.

Cravings: I have been loving grape juice, cold items, dry cereal, salads, and parfaits.

Symptoms:  Same ole', same ole'.  Just getting bigger and bigger by the day.  Feeling VERY tired.  I am constantly worried about this baby!  I guess it's my 3rd so I just get scared.

Best Moment this week: Going to the doctor and hearing the heartbeat today which was 148. I am dilated 2.5 cm, 40% effaced, and the baby is very low she says at a -2.  I am loving being off work so that I can rest and get ready for this sweet little one.  Neil installed the car-seat, raised the crib, and got the swing and boppy down.  I washed a few boy gowns just in case we are having a boy.

our new car-seat with our BIG 2 ear old trying it out

Neil likes to try out the crib to make sure it is sturdy!

37 Weeks HUGE with #3

see what I mean...nothing fits me!
PregnancHighlights:

How Far Along: 37 Weeks

Size of baby: a little over 6 pounds according to Babycenter (winter melon)

Total Weight Gain/Loss: 25 lbs! whoa! and still 2-3 weeks to go.

Maternity Clothes: Mostly maternity...my maternity stuff barely fits now! I am just going to stay in yoga pants.  I am done working now so I can! :)

Gender: We aren't finding out!  Neil and I were talking the other day about how people will just stare at my stomach and say "I know it's a boy or That is definitely a girl!"  It is fun to have people guess.

I was so naive with Bennett, but I guess everyone deserves a care-free pregnancy.

Best Moment this week: Going to the doctor and hearing the heartbeat today which was 156. I am dilated 2 cm and the baby is very low she says at a -2.  This is my first official week of maternity leave and I can't describe the joy I feel! Oh, and I tried to April Fool's Neil by telling him that they accidentally told me what we were having, but he didn't take the bait! :)

35 Weeks with #3!

PregnancHighlights:

How Far Along: 35 Weeks

Size of baby: a little over 5 pounds according to Babycenter (honeydew melon)

Total Weight Gain/Loss: 25 lbs! whoa! and still 5 weeks to go.

Maternity Clothes: Mostly maternity...my maternity stuff barely fits now! I wear the same pants to work over and over.  I usually stay in yoga pants during the weekend.  I have no dresses!

Gender: We aren't finding out!  Now, that I'm used to not knowing what we are having I don't want to know.  It is hard not preparing for baby, though.

Movement: kicking and moving less because I think this little one is running out of room to move

Sleep: I sleep really well except for my every 1-2 hour bathroom breaks and hip pain

What I miss: pain-free living due to tail bone/hip issues...it really feels like my pelvis is breaking every time I get out of bed.

Cravings: I have been loving yogurt, Pecan Sandies, cold items, chicken salad sandwich from Newk's no mayo, no mustard, and sweets...always

Symptoms:   My feet, ankles, and legs are swollen at night from being on my feet all day.  I've been having heartburn which is something I am not used to.

Best Moment this week: I started writing on the baby book pages.  I moved all of Henry's clothes and personal items to the "BIG BOY" room.  I just want him to feel like it's his room too.  The closet and drawers are ready for boy or girl clothes!

34 weeks with #3!

PregnancHighlights:

How Far Along: 34 Weeks

Size of baby: 4lbs 6 oz according to my ultrasound

Total Weight Gain/Loss: 25 lbs! whoa! and still 6 weeks to go.

Maternity Clothes: Mostly maternity...my maternity stuff barely fits now!

Gender: We aren't finding out!  Now, that I'm used to not knowing what we are having I don't want to know.  I was thinking GIRL last week, but now I am thinking BOY. Neil thinks we are having a  girl.  Bennett thinks boy (there's no way it could be a girl!) and Henry thinks girl (he says it's a "baby seester").

Movement: kicking and moving less because I think this little one is running out of room to move

Sleep: I sleep really well except for my every 1-2 hour bathroom breaks.

What I miss: pain-free living due to tail bone/hip issues...it really feels like my pelvis is breaking every time I get out of bed.

Cravings: I have been loving yogurt, cold items, chicken salad sandwich from Newk's no mayo, no mustard, and sweets..always

Symptoms:    My fluids are up to 11.6!  How exciting!  My feet and ankles are swollen at night.

Best Moment this week: I picked out the baby book for this little one on Monday.  Pops got each boy their books and wanted to do the same for this one.  I couldn't really pick out the book because we don't know the gender, but I ordered the pages so I can go ahead and start filling them out.

33 weeks with #3

33 weeks!

PregnancHighlights:

How Far Along: 33 Weeks

Size of baby: 4lbs 6 oz according to my ultrasound

Total Weight Gain/Loss: 25 lbs! whoa! and still 7 weeks to go.

Maternity Clothes: Mostly maternity...I have to wear Neil's t-shirts for pajamas because mine don't fit :)

Gender: We aren't finding out!  Now, that I'm used to not knowing what we are having I don't want to know.  I've been thinking that the baby is a boy all along, but now I am thinking girl.

Movement: kicking and moving all the time.  Lots in the early morning and evening. This baby likes to start moving around 4-5 am...I like knowing that this little one is healthy and moving so I don't worry about the sleep I'm missing.

Sleep: I sleep really well except for my every 1-2 hour bathroom breaks.  Thankfully I can go right back to sleep after getting up.  I am having a lot of hip pain that wakes me up at night.  When I go to the bathroom I have to hold onto the bed, dresser, and walls just to get there.  It really feel like my pelvis cracks every time I get up.

What I miss: pain-free living due to tail bone/hip issues...it really feels like my pelvis is breaking every time I get out of bed.

Cravings: I have been loving yogurt, cold items, cuties, fruit, chicken salad, and sweets..always

Symptoms:    My doctor sent me back to work on Monday of this week and told me just to drink, drink, drink.  Well I went in to have my fluids checked and they were at 8.2.  I drink so much, but it is hard for me to go to the bathroom 15 times a day at school. "   I really feel like I am at the end of my rope.  I just get sad/stressed everyday going to the hostile environment that is my school.

Best/Worst Moment this week: The worst part was that at the Highland Parade pre-party at the Buteau's, I fell.  I was sitting on an ice chest to monitor the kids on the sidewalk that splits their yard because we were trying to keep the kids in the bigger area of the yard.  Well, Henry decided he was going to run to the other side of the yard and dart toward the street.  I got up and ran after him only to slip and fall on the wet grass.  I didn't even get to him!  I was hysterical and worried that something might be wrong with my baby.  I cried a gross, snotty cry in front of 30 people including kids.  It was not my best moment.  I was so embarrassed for causing that emotional scene!  I had grass from head to toe and am thankful for good friends who cleaned me up.  I decided to take Henry home, but left Bennett to attend the parade.  The best part was calling the doctor to see what I should do.  She said anyone who falls this far along needs to go in to be monitored.  Mom and Dad both met me at the house to keep Henry.  I drove myself to the hospital and got on the monitor.  BABY LOOKS GREAT!  Oh, I am so thankful!    It was really sad that when I was done being monitored, I had to drive by myself home.  I miss my husband!

Modified Bed Rest

Since my doctor took me off for 3 days to rest and take in fluids, I've been loving it.  I didn't realize how much I needed to be forced to stay home and relax.  I've been able to lounge around, watch TV, and even take in a nap.  Oh, and I've gotten to do some blogging while sitting around.

It's been nice not having to rush my boys out the door to get to school.  Goodness, I am ready for maternity leave.

Since this was such a random thing for me, I had no plans for a sub ready.  Thankfully, Carol handled them for me by getting a movie to the sub.  I spoke the my sub last night and she said "I don't know how you work this schedule...especially pregnant!" Me either, Mrs. Johnson.

I just really wish I could be off work.  I am emotionally and physically exhausted, but it just isn't enough to get me off work. :(

32 weeks with #3!

My clubs meets every Tuesday so that is why I am usually wearing this t-shirt in the pics.  Only Henry wanted to join in on the picture.

PregnancHighlights:

How Far Along: 32 Weeks

Size of baby: 4lbs 6 oz according to my ultrasound

Total Weight Gain/Loss: lots!

Maternity Clothes: Mostly maternity...I have to wear Neil's t-shirts for pajamas because mine don't fit :)

Gender: We aren't finding out!  Now, that I'm used to not knowing what we are having it is really fun!  I like the idea of waiting.

Movement: kicking and moving all the time.  Lots in the early morning and evening.

Neil wants to get me a cane for when he isn't home!

What I miss: pain-free living due to tail bone/hip issues...it really feels like my pelvis is breaking every time I get out of bed.

Cravings: I have been loving yogurt, cold items, cuties, fruit, chicken salad, and sweets..always

Symptoms:  I was put on a beta blocker last week, but it wasn't really relieving my symptoms of heart palpitations so I asked if I could stop taking it.  I would rather not take anything then take something that isn't working.  My doctor took me off work the rest of the week because my fluids are low.  She wants me to rest and force fluids.  The fluid level around the baby measured 5.6 and it should be a 12 for 32 weeks pregnant.  Needless to say I am a basket case!  I go back tomorrow at 8:30 to have everything checked.  If my levels aren't up, I have to be admitted for IV fluids.  Praying for fluids levels to rise.  I am drinking tons!  Thankfully, Neil decided to stay home until after my appointment.  Casey said that this baby is going to give a run for our money so it's probably a girl! ha!

Best Moment this week: Henry kissing my belly.  And he said "I have a lion in my tummy!"

Babymoon in Tulsa

When Neil decided to stay in Tulsa for 12 days, we decided that I should go up and visit him on my long weekend.  It turned out to be a great idea!  We I called this our babymoon for #3!  I arrived in Tulsa on Friday night at 7:30, Neil came and got me, and we headed to the hotel.

Neil had these gorgeous flowers waiting on me!  He is sooooooo creative and turned a Dasani bottle into a vase for me.  He cut the top off and voila...a vase!

On Saturday, Neil went to work and I headed to the Lifetime Fitness spa.  Wow.  This place was amazing!  It was like a huge mall of fitness.  The spa was fantastic!  They had a Valentine's special so I was able to get a massage, facial, and a pedicure.  I went ahead and got my hair done so I could look swanky for our babymoon!  Since Neil is staying at a DoubleTree, I had to partake in their delicious cookies!  Neil was astounded when he saw they have 360 calories PER cookie! I ate 6 from Friday to Monday and didn't feel guilty at all.

I met Neil and his co-workers at Pei Wei for lunch after my spa treatments!
Pei Wei lunch
We headed back to Neil's office so he could introduce me to some folks and so that I could see the place.
looking good!
Since Nana and Granddad are going to be one of the dukes/duchesses at the Ruston Mardi Gras ball we had to get Neil fitted for a tux.  Man, this place was busy!  We were just glad to get him measured and get out of there.

We drove around Tulsa, Neil showed me some of his favorite places, and then we went back to the hotel to watch the Olympics....we were really lazy this trip!  I enjoyed having moments of down time where I could just nap if I felt like it!

For dinner, we headed to Smoke.  Neil really likes it and wanted to take me.  They were totally full so we sat at the bar.  The highlight was a fried green tomato stuffed with crabmeat.  Delish!

Sunday was by far the laziest day for me.  Neil went to work while I stayed at the hotel.  I blogged, read, watched TV, napped, showered, and perused Instagram for 4 hours!  It was FABULOUS!  Neil got back and we headed to Utica Square, a shopping and eating area that is pretty well-known in Tulsa.

We ate lunch at Queenie's and it was really good.  We split a slice of lemon cake, too.  A nice old man next to us said "I can tell you've been married for a while and it is so nice to see you holding hands because you just don't see that anymore."  It was so sweet!

Lunch at Queenies
After Queenies and some shopping where I didn't buy one thing...we headed back to the hotel for you guessed it...a nap!  I took 2 naps on Sunday!  Neil kept saying "I feel like we aren't doing anything!"  I said "this is exactly what I wanted to do...nothing!"  It was sooooooo nice!

On Sunday night, we ate at Doc's, Neil's favorite restaurant in Tulsa.  He's been a few times and really enjoyed the food and atmosphere.  He loves that all the restaurants seem to have a cool atmosphere.
Neil was sick of pictures by this night.  No couple photo from Doc's.    :(
After Doc's I had to get packed to get ready for my 6 am flight.  I had to get up at 4 to leave the hotel by 4:30.  The shuttle was supposed to take me to the airport but they didn't start running until 6 so Neil had to take me.  I hated for him to get up that early!

I arrived in Dallas at 7am and got to my gate 2 hours early.  I just sat there and waited to board.  While I was waiting I saw Jake from the Bachelor get off the plane!  I knew he was a pilot, but didn't know he'd be flying me to Shreveport!  After we arrived in Shreveport I asked to get a picture with him.  I look like death with no make-up, up since 4, and hugely pregnant!  Oh well, I thought Amy would get a kick out of the pic!

I just loved going to Tulsa.  We are so thankful that Gammy and Nana could watch the boys so that we could make it happen.  Might not be too many more trips like this in the future since we will have 3 kids!
