What'd we do on our Vacay?

Bennett honed his photography skills...

 We went crabbin'...
 We maxed and relaxed...

And we spent some much needed family time in a beautiful location.  What a fun time!  Thanks, Nana and Grandad!

I had some fun with editing tools.  Only thing missing was Andrew.

Out to eat at the beach

One thing I love about vacation is going out to "local flavor" places and checking out the menus.  Am I a foodie?  I think so!
Breakfast in Seaside...Grandad said they wanted to take the boys to the pool and for us to go get breakfast!  Didn't have to twist our arms!

Seaside food trucks tasting.  Bennett had ice cream and a sno-cone!

Dinner at Local Catch..we got a sitter so we could all go!

Becky and I walked out and had on the same outfit!  We did NOT plan it and we did not change!

Andrew does Dallas

So, Andrew moved to Dallas to start a fancy new job with Bank of America.  His sweet friends Karen and Aaron threw him a little going away party at Bear's.   We went and took a nice double decker cookie cake!  Good luck with the new job and new apartment, Andrew!

Delish!

Karen had little hats for everyone to wear (that is what I am wearing)

How nice is this sign???  Karen painted Nixon!!! Fancy.

Family Beach Photos

On our last night, we went to the public beach access for some family photos.  I think they turned out pretty darn good for a 10 minute photo shoot!

Silly picture!

MELT MY HEART.

I love these 2.

Aunt Becky and her boys!

Thanks to the random beach goer for taking this photo!

Beachin' It!

We spent a lot of time on the beach and made sure we went out there every single day even if it rained.  I like to make every moment count as my mom says!  Nana and Grandad were so fabulous not that they aren't always, but Henry would wear himself out so much that he'd need a 3 hour nap.  They offered to sit in the house with him while he napped so we could let Bennett stay at the beach.  It was so nice!

Henry was already falling asleep on Grandad

Neil found this wagon at Sam's that was perfect for hauling beach gear.  It was so hard to pull on the sand...this is as far as I made it.

Aunt Becky picked up this tube on one of her morning coffee runs.  They loved it!  Henry kept calling it a boat.

Awwwwwww...my loves!

sometimes you just have to swim in your diaper

This picture says a lot about our chair situation.  Richard ordered chairs the day we got there and they were NEVER set-up!  Talk about frustration!  We hardly sat in them, but it's the principal!

You can see the dark water in front of the ocean...well this is what we called "sweet tea creek."  The ocean formed a little lagoon that was perfect for the boys.  They loved being able to splash and play without being knocked down by waves.

Buried

We made a little hole to bury Bennett in the sand.  It was a lot harder to dig a hole than we thought so we made it to where Bennett could just sit on his knees and lean back.  After he got up Henry had to get right in there and be buried too!  It was hard with the puddle jumper on but he didn't care!!

Gulfarium

We were stressed that it was going to rain during our entire beach trip but we were not going to be sad!  We made sure to find fun things to do.  One of the outings we did was the Gulfarium.  The boys LOVED it!  The boys I am talking about are Henry, Bennett, and RICHARD!  Grandad oh-ed and ah-ed over all the swimming animals.  He and Henry were quite a pair!  Nana was excited to take the boys because they used to take Neil, Andrew, and Rebecca every year.  So glad we got to experience it.

Bennett loved the turtle...Henry not so much

I am pretty sure this was the penguin exhibit.

"Quack, Quack, Quack!"

A real alligator!  Bennett kept petting it saying "awwww, awwww, how sweet" to the gator.

Henry got to pet him too!

All of us ready for the sea lion show!

Henry and Grandad were super impressed with the sea lions!  I loved listening to both their comments.
