Teacher Appreciation Week

This year for all of the daycare workers where Bennett goes, we decided to plan a really special week for them.  Erinn, Whitney, Margaret, and I decided to take it upon ourselves to plan something really great for them.  After all, they are with our kids almost as much as we are!  I just really felt like they deserved something special.  We gave all of the teacher "favorites" lists to fill out asking them their favorite drink, restaurant, colors, candy, etc.  Erinn then typed all of the lists for us to send home to the parents.  We wanted to make sure they got what they liked!  We made sure to tell the parents that we were just suggesting and that nothing on the list was mandatory.  We ended up with a great response and the teachers were thrilled and so appreciative!

Monday: Flower Day
Tuesday: "Spa" Day (Great idea by Whitney)
Wednesday: Cookie/Candy Day
Thursday: "M" Day (Anything goes that starts with the letter "M")
Friday: Catered Breakfast and Lunch including door prizes (We asked every parent to donate $5!)

All of the teachers in Bennett's class like roses so this is what they received...

Thank you for being so "sweet" to me on the candy day.  Their favorites included chew candy, starburst, chick-o-stick, and twizzlers.

Spa day!  I loved this day.  They each received a personalized cosmetic bag with bath and body products in them.

This was what we gave them for "M" day.  Amy had a great idea to give "m&ms!"  We gave a muffin and m&ms.  The note said" "You do a Magnificent and Marvelous job taking caring of me!"

We had the catered meal and gave them each a cute bag with their names on them on Friday.  They are in their favorite colors.  We included their favorite beverage and magazine in each bag.  All in all it was a great week!  I hope they enjoyed it as much as I did!

I wasn't able to arrive to the daycare until after my 6th hour class and the other moms had it all decorated.  We did a "picnic" theme.

We served fried chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, rolls, and banana pudding.  They even had enough to take some home for dinner.

Since the parents were so generous, we had enough money for about 12 door prizes.  Here are Erinn and Kristen calling the names.

The planners minus Margaret...Kristen, me, Erinn, and Whitney

Can't wait to make it bigger and better next year!!
