Shreveport 9U All-Stars go to State!

Bennett made all-stars again this year for 9U live arm at Shreveport Little League.  He has really found his sport.  He loves it and he excels at it!  We love to watch him play the game he loves. Way to go B!  We are so proud of you!

We made it to state by default because Bossier (the only team in our district) tried to pull a fast one and cheat.  So, off to state we go!

Our sweet little team had a fun party at Red River Brewing to get ready for the state tournament.  Thankfully, the tournament was in Bossier so we didn't have to travel.  The boys had so much fun celebrating!

We had such a fun first game against Lafayette that began at 8:40pm and went to almost midnight!  We didn't win and we were so sad.

They called out each player's name and number before the game started.

Our second game was against Lake Charles and we won 16-4!  It was just what the boys needed as a boost of confidence!  Way to go boys!

Our third and FINAL game we played Lafayette again and and lost.  The boys were so upset and so were we!  Neil said he is already missing baseball!

We were excited that Granddad drove over all 3 nights for the games! He didn't get home until almost midnight each night.   What a good Granddad!

We had a cookie cake to celebrate Cherie's birthday because she was doing baseball for her 42nd birthday!

This was after our last game and he was so upset.  It broke my heart.

We came in 3rd in the state and we are so happy!  We just want to make it to Williamsport in a couple years!!! :)
