Dad and Carolyn had planned to go to Charleston this summer. We were so sad when she passed away. Dad needed a pick me up and decided he still wanted to try to make it out to Charleston. He asked if Bennett and I wanted to go so we planned the trip! We ended up adding NYC to the last leg of our trip, too. Talk about a travel filled summer. It was FAB.
Bennett was THRILLED to go on an airplane for the first time. The other two kids are pretty darn upset that they didn't get to go. Dad said Henry can pick somewhere to go next summer! Sounds good to me.
We drove to Dallas because the flights were almost $400 cheaper than flying out of Shreveport. We went over the night before our flight and stayed near the airport. Bennett and I got to have brunch with Leslie and Amanda at Snooze before we took off. What a treat for me!
