Labor Day Weekend!

Whew! What a busy weekend we had. We got a TON of projects done around the house too. Of course I have lots of pictures to tell the story.

We started out Saturday morning with a little ride in the swing. It is lots of fun!

On Saturday afternoon, we went to Mason's big 1 year birthday party!

Mason is such a big boy now!

Bennett and Mira are always playing together when we see them. I guess they like the same things. Bennett had no trouble chewing on Mason's cars. He was not that great at sharing. He took any toy that Mira had.

Bennett loved playing with the tissue paper at Mason's party. I liked it because it matched his outfit. kidding!

Here is the Birthday Boy digging into his cake! The Very Hungry Caterpillar theme was adorable!

Bennett had a great time playing with friends. Too bad none of them are paying attention to each other!

We came home and Bennett played with Arthur. He loves that puppy! He lets him lick his face too.

On Monday, we ate lunch at Newk's with Aunts Leslie and Carol. This is where he got to try a pickle for the first time! It was yummy!

Now on to our projects:

Here is Neil blowing off the roof. This has been needing to be completed for about a year now. There were leaves and sticks up there since last fall! Ugh!

Neil put pavers down on the side of the house where grass just does not want to grow.

Neil hung these roman shades on our back doors too. Bennett loved playing with the old ratty metal blinds and they were beginning to look pretty bad..not that metal blinds ever look good in the first place. Anyway...long story..I hate our metal blinds, but it is too expensive to replace them with faux wood...because we need ivory..not white!

Neil put this outdoor cabinet together so that he can watch football outside. Apparently everyone needs the capability of watching TV outside!

THANK YOU NEIL for all of your hard work this weekend! Bennett and I appreciate you so much!

Lastly, we had our group of friends over that we go on the couples trip with every year. They seem to always invite all of us over and I think it was our turn. We are never short on laughs with this group! Neil grilled corn, chicken, and shrimp! It was Yum-o! We talked about where our next trip should be. Some say Lake Tahoe, some say a cruise, and some even say a lake in Winnfield..who knows where we will go! Everyone is going to make a proposal to be discussed at the next get-together.

I don't think Drew liked being "held" by Bennett!
