Pumpkin Pickin'

For the past couple years, my dad has taken us to our favorite, local nursery to pick out pumpkins.  They just built a big new greenhouse and it looks so fancy in there.  We like to have our picture taken in the little scarecrow photo op, but they didn't have it up this year.  It's OK...we have lots of cute ones.

Henry is 14 months old!

I know I say it every month, but where does the time go?  I can't believe my baby boy is so BIG now!

And, it is 10/11/12...happy 14 months!

You COVERED yourself in spaghetti the other night..hair, face, eyes...everywhere!

What are you up to these days?
  • Size 4 diaper, but we are moving up to a 5 after we use this pack
  • clothes are 12-18 months and most of them are things I have been waiting to put on you.  I got most of them at a garage sale long before you were born...eeeeeek!  They are so cute for 50 cents!
like this reversible outfit
  • You LOVE to eat.  In fact, I have only found 1 thing you will not eat: avocado.  I took this picture one night after you at a TON.  The pj shirt kept rising up over your full belly.

  • You are a full time walker.  You are even trying to run a little bit.  It is not really a run so much as it is a pep in your step.  You like to take things and "run" off with them.  You think this is hilarious!
  • You sleep on a mat one the floor at school.  You have been doing this for 2 months!  I am shocked that you do this!
  • We are taking away your pacifier on Christmas break.  It was going to be Thanksgiving, but with travel and being in the car...we will need it!
  • You can point to your nose when you feel like it.
  • Your wave is the cutest thing ever.  And you only do that when you are in the mood.
most of your pictures are of you eating!
  • You are a lot more cautious than your brother.  You like to run off and do things, but you like to stay back with mom and dad.  For instance: I tried to let Lora hold you today and you did NOT want to go to her.
  • You are in a big boy car seat now.  You like being able to see out.
  • You have all kinds of teeth these days.  3 on top and 2 on the bottom.  Here is a great picture, but you do have food in your mouth like always!

  • You are loved by your family like crazy!  Bennett told you today "I love you no matter what!"

Bennett's school fun!

Bennett has a lot of fun at his new school.  Last week they had bear week.  Each child was able to bring a teddy bear to school for their "teddy bear picnic!"  How cute!  I love that Bennett's sweet teacher sends us pictures from their activities.  It makes me feel like I was there a little tiny bit.

His bear is almost as big as he is!

Here are Bennett's school pictures.  I just can't get over how big he is!  He looks so grown up and so adorable at the same time.  The stars on his shirt are to cover up the school logo.  I did NOT put him in a uniform looking shirt for picture day.  I dressed him, but Neil e-mailed me later to tell me toothpaste was all over him so they had to change.

eeeeeek!  He is so cute!! (excuse the proud mommy comments!)

Family Funday

We had a totally eventful Saturday.  We woke up in Ruston and went non-stop until bedtime.  We ate lunch at Portico and then headed home to make it to a birthday party, Taste of Shreveport/Bossier, and a wedding.  Whew.  I am worn out just typing that!

Henry was being such a little ham at the restaurant.
Looking adorable in the 50 cent outfit I got last year at a G-sale!

look at those teeth!

4 teeth are coming in on the top at the same time

Lewis family minus Andrew

Neil had to go to the camp on our way home so I dropped him off at the gas station with a satellite.  He had to wait for Andrew to come and get him.  I could not quit laughing at this picture!

Stranded...

Gammy came over and made Halloween cookies with Bennett.  They are some of the most beautiful, sprinkle filled cookies ever.

B+Gammy+cookies=fun!

Artober Fest

We headed to Ruston this weekend for Artober Fest.  It is the beer tasting fundraiser for the North Central Louisiana Arts Council.  Since Richard is on the board and Red River Brewery was a brewin' it was a no-brainer...we were going.

They had an array of home brewers showing off their work with all the samples your could drink.  Since I don't drink beer...I tasted only a couple and Red River's were the best by far.  I am pretty sure they were going to win the contest of beer if they hadn't run out.

Way to work it, RR guys!

It is always good to see Ruston's own...Hunter Smith!

Walking Boy!

Henry started walking full time last week.  He has gotten so good that he even stops, pick up toys, and then carries them.  He really likes to carry items and heavy ones at that!

Henry, we are so proud of you!

So fast that he made the camera blurry!

Date Night, Done Right

My mom asked if we wanted to have a date night and of course we said YES!  We chose Saturday night for dinner.  We decided to try a new place called, Stir.  It is a new tapas place in town in the old Columbia Cafe'.

The best part about our date at Stir was definitely the company.  So glad we were there together!  Our date wasn't anything out of the ordinary...it was just fun to be together!

We decided to be spontaneous and head to Mabry House for dessert and an after dinner beverage.  I am so glad Neil came up with that idea!  It was a great one.
