1st Post Since Privacy Act

Something feels really strange now that I know the blog is not on display for all to see!  I just feel like we are behind some sort of internet screen.  I don't have to block out where Bennett goes to school and I can rant about how my day was without the feeling that I might get fired for expressing my opinions.  It is nice to be protected by the "privacy act!"  I have had a couple calls of people not being able to access the blog or not "liking" that it is private.  Sorry, this is how I want it to be for the time being.

I had the boys in matching shirts a couple days ago and I just wanted a darn picture!  I do not have 1 picture of both boys looking and smiling at the camera since Henry's birth almost 16 months ago.  Is it really too much to ask??

Bloggy Get-Together

We had a great time at our bloggy get-together.  I am always in need of girl talk so this was a fun couple of hours for me.  We had 5 bloggers attend.  We had several other people that were interested, but couldn't make it for different reasons.  We determined that some of the girls write their blogs because they use it as a creative outlet and some of us...like me just use it to report news.  Like, I just type stuff that happened and not real creatively.  Whatever works.  Right?  

Really I just felt like we were all alike in lots of different ways.  For instance, Hannah, Kristen, and I all have 2 boys each!  All 5 of us work outside the home, enjoys church, and blogging.  I found that talking to girls that I met for the first time today is so easy and we got along great.  And small world story...Hannah's mom and my dad went to high school together!

So we had 3 Shreveport/Bossier dwellers, 1 from Natchitoches, and 1 from Indianapolis.   Amanda wins the award for longest distance traveled.

Local Bloggers Get-Together

I was talking to Casey yesterday about getting some local bloggers together for coffee or dinner or lunch or something soon.  I don't have an agenda, but thought it would be fun since there aren't that many of us!

New Look

Oh goodness! I just pulled up my blog and saw my new look! I just love it! I think it turned out so cute. It even has 2 rotating headers. Thanks to Leslie for creating it.

Neil said that when I reached 50 followers I could get a blog makeover. I am so excited about the new design. Thank you Neil!

1 year Blog-a-versary!

I don't have an exciting giveaway or anything profound to say. I just wanted to say I can't believe that I have been blogging for 1 year! I plan to keep it up because I just love the blog book that I made. It is so nice to have all of our pictures and stories to go along with them. I just like that I have a virtual scrapbook, too. Anytime I want to show people pictures...I just pull up the blog! I feel like I have come a long way in my blogging since my first post. I still have SO much to learn though. If you don't have a blog, you should start one to document your lives! It's fun, easy, and free!

Our Blog Book!

We published our blog! It is so cool and I am just thrilled about our blog book! I used "the cutest blog on the block," but they re-direct you to Shared Book and I now see that they have a lot more covers for your book! It came in yesterday and was really nice. It is a hard back book with over 200 pages. I published just 2009 and I didn't even start blogging until February. I guess I have been a busy blogger. It is so much easier than scrapbooking and way less time consuming. I thought it was a great deal and love having a "hard copy" of our "virtual scrapbook!"
