Showering Amy

It is so fun showering Amy!  She deserves it so much because she hosts for everyone!  Today was a beautiful shower with a sit down brunch, sweet prayer beads for walking down the aisle, and awesome gifts!  I am so glad I got to attend!

Summer is in full swing!

Summer has really kicked off this week!  I love the lazy mornings on days I don't have to work.  We've spent some time at the library, the pool, and enjoying the outdoors due to no rain!

Bennett had to opportunity to attend Pine Cove Camp in the City.  I cannot say enough wonderful things about this camp.  AMAZING!  I do not want him to miss this camp after seeing how wonderful it was!

This is how Henry felt after we left Bennett at camp.  He was so upset that he didn't get to stay.

We had a Mommy/Henry day.  Here we are at the grocery store.

We did library story time.

Henry colored these puppets to go along with the story The Paper Bag Princess.

Pool time for me, Henry, and SK while Bennett attended camp.

Grilling outside, homemade ice cream, and dirty kids....this is what summer is made of!

Pine Cove Camp in the City

I cannot say enough good things about Pine Cove Camp in the City.  I heard about it from a few people, but didn't sign Bennett up until a couple weeks before.  It turned out to be a great decision!  Bennett LOVED this camp.  A church near our house hosted it.  They had 6-7 inflatable water games, harness trampoline, 9 square, and so much more.  They had Bible study, camp wide games against the counselors, super hero dress up day, and even a sweet closing celebration for the parents on Friday.  Oh, and the app that uploaded pictures everyday was a huge hit!  Like I said, I can't quit thinking about this camp!  Bennett is already asking to go next year and to go to the overnight camp in Tyler, TX.  We shall see.  After reading the website, I want to go!!!

Julia brought Bennett to camp for me so I wouldn't have to double back.  Here are the little superheroes.

Superhero dress up day.  They talked about the heroes of the Bible all week.

Need for Spleen was his counselor's name.  Bennett loved him!  Here he is reading Bennett's "CQ" to him.  It's his character qualities certificate.  So sweet!

I took this off the app!

Another one from the app.

Bennett said this game was called Mammoth Hunt...he said it was a blast.  You had to take socks off all the counselors arms or something like that.

Aunt Carolyn's 60th!

We've been planning to head over to Houston for Aunt Carolyn's surprise 60th for a few months now.  It all worked just as planned!  Uncle Mike drove in from Alabama on Friday night and she was shocked.  Carrie planned a lunch on Saturday for all of us.  We arrived there first and then Aunt Carolyn got there and was soooo surprised!

Can you tell she was shocked to see us??

Yay for sisters!

So emotional!

Mom, Uncle Mike, and Aunt Carolyn

After lunch we headed to Carrie's house for playing, nap for SK, and fishing.  Carrie has a couple ponds in her neighborhood so they went fishing.  Me and SK had to stay home because the second I tried to go she woke up and started screaming!

Ethan's playroom is so much fun!

Courtney made pink lemonade cupcakes and decorated the kitchen so cute! I loved the little pink lemonade plates.  Little did Aunt C know...we were surprising her yet again with a party that evening.  We were all tired, but other family members drove in from Austin so Carrie couldn't cancel! :)

We stayed in The Woodlands which turned out to be so convenient!  It was 1 mile from Cheesecake Factory which is where my aunt always eats for her birthday!

K-3 Splash Day

Henry had his end of year party the day before school let out.  He was so excited to have a party. It seems that Bennett gets to do everything and he doesn't, but he is getting bigger and gets to have the fun, too!  He wants to be 6 like Bennett so badly so that he can do all he gets to do.  Don't grow up too fast, Henry!

We (the K-3 room-moms) have been planning this party for what seems like 6 months!  We had a water slide, a mom brought a slip n slide, a pool, and a sprinkler.  We even had 1 mom treat the water with bleach.  Nice.  One mom had the sno-cone truck come for their snack. Oh, to be 3!

Henry tried to work the slip n slide... we need to practice.

He had so much fun splashing around.
