Happy 28th, Rebecca!

After all of our Halloween festivities, we headed to Ruston for the weekend.  We started off our stay with Rebecca's 28th birthday celebration.  Neil's parents made homemade gumbo and it was excellent.  We enjoyed cake, pin the tail on the donkey, and celebrating the fabulous REBECCA!

Neil's Office Halloween Party

Henry and I left Bennett's Halloween party and headed down to Neil's office.  He never mentioned that he has a Halloween party at work until the morning of or I would have made a spooky treat or two.  He said that he brought himself and that's all they needed.  Hmmmmm....  They still let me stay for lunch even though we didn't bring anything.

I got there pretty early because Henry had to eat and when this boy is hungry you feed him immediately.   We got there and I was surprised to see that everyone was dressed up and had their babies there!  There were 4 babies there under 3 months of age....all cuties I might add.

School Halloween Party

Hello Blog world!  Have you missed me?  Well, I am Baaaaaaack!  I have been so busy with Halloween, going to Ruston, and taking care of my family I haven't sat down to blog.  I don't know how I am going to find the time to go back to work.

Anyway, Bennett had his school Halloween party last Friday.  I was thrilled.  Yes, I said I was thrilled.  I love anything Halloween and anything party so you can imagine my excitement!  Erin, the room-mom and I planned a fun little party.  The school doesn't like to call it a party...they like to call it a "fun snack."  Well, it was a party in our books.

I arrived at the school with my 2 boys, Frankenstein puddings, ghost milks, and teacher snacks.  I loaded the stroller down and got on the shuttle.  A nice lady going to the school carried my pudding because I was overloaded.

We started the morning at the Halloween play.  The kids from ages 3-Kindergarten sang cute Halloween songs while we watched.  The 2 year olds don't sing, they just watched.  About 15 minutes into the show, they were restless and Bennett was crawling under Henry's stroller.  Bennett will actually be in the show next year and I am just giddy thinking about seeing him on stage!  We got back to the classroom after the show and had the cute snacks...

Pumpkin Shine on Line

We went to the annual pumpkin shine tonight.  I love this fun, fall event every year.  This year was extra special because Bennett had a pumpkin in the line up.  His teacher made a cute little display.  I was so proud!

We saw the Burfords and they were sweet enough to take our picture.  

We finally found Bennett's pumpkin.  It said "Preschool 2 Pumpkin Patch."  We saw one of his classmates, Isaiah.  His mommy was trying to get him to take a picture with his pumpkin just like me.  These boys were not cooperating!

Corn Maze

I love when we actually have a weekend where we are agendaless.  The only thing we planned to do this weekend was the corn maze.  I was excited to go because I wanted to experience and it is also on the fall bucket list I saw on Ashleigh's blog and on Pinterest.  I even found one for winter, too!  I don't think that it is about doing everything on the list...I think it is just about making sure you do fun things with your family.  It has lots of great ideas!

The Dixie Maze was a lot of fun.  It was a REAL Farm.  It was really farmy with animals, dirt, barns, and crops.  I love reading about the pioneer times, but could have NEVER lived them.  It was a little too rustic for me.  We had fun roaming around the farm.  We started out by feeding the babies while they showed some 500 pound snakes.  I dry heaved looking at them.  Snakes just gross me out.

Our pumpkin express cart that I had to chase down so that other families wouldn't get it.  Story: we had been waiting for about 20 minutes to ride this train...as the train pulled up a crowd of people starting walking over to get on.  As it pulled up I took off running to the train while pushing Henry and taking candy (accidentally) from Mason!.  I heard a random woman say "Oh know" to me.  Oh well...we made it to cart #1 for the ride!
