Adult Fun

We had babysitters 3 nights in a row!  Which is equal to about a billion dollars in babysitters, but we had so much fun!

Kyle planned a sweet bday party for Jenn at their house!  He had a fab menu of loaded baked potatoes and pizza rolls! and cake!  We played no-shame charades and had a dance party!  So much fun!

Happy Birthday Jenn!
The next night we had a Sunday School dinner at Taziki's!  What a sweet group of friends!

Gingerbread House Luncheon

When I heard that Dave Pelzer was coming to speak at the 20th annual Gingerbread House luncheon-I knew I wanted to go.  When I saw that the tickets were $125 each I knew I wouldn't be able to swing it.

Dave wrote the book "A Child Called It."  Mrs. White and I taught this book SO MANY times that I feel like I've read the book 100 times.  I commented on the post on Facebook and tagged Mrs. White! She was pumped too!

Later on that day, the Executive Director sent me a text and invited us to go!  I feel a little free-loader(ish), but we wanted to go and I am so glad we did!  What a special treat to hear Dave Pelzer speak about his trials with child abuse and how he overcame it!

Me, Dave, and Mrs. White!

Jersey Boys at the Strand

Jenn let us know that Jersey Boys would be playing at the Strand.  I knew my dad would love it because this is totally his type of music. I asked if he wanted to go and he said YES!  Well, I asked him while he was in the hospital, bought the tickets and 2 months later he had no idea.  I reminded him and he was pumped!  Neil had to coach a baseball game for Bennett so I invited Carol to go with us!

We went to Chianti before with my brother and then off to the show we went!

Sat right by the McGuires and right behind the Temples from Ruston!

So much fun!

SOLD OUT!

Adult Christmas party {Gatsby Style}

Our baseball friends invited us to their home for their Gatsby Style Christmas party!  What fun it was to get dressed up!  Costumes are so much fun!  Thanks to Rebecca for having her wedding because I was able to re-wear my rehearsal dinner dress!  I got a few accessories from Amazon and VOILA...roaring 20s!

Neil was a different story!  He didn't have anything so he borrowed from my dad which is normally where he gets anything he needs for parties!   My dad is a true Dapper Dan.

I had to borrow a cigarette because I don't happen to have any of those around the house.

My hair.  Bless it.  I just have no idea how to do hair!  Like none.  I looked up this fancy way to do it and I NAILED IT!  sort of.
