My 2013-2014 Classroom!

I have my classroom all ready to go for the 2013-2014 school year.  My favorite part is the FCS bulletin board I made.  I had a vision for what I wanted and it just didn't turn out how I expected.  Oh well...you get the point!

Henry's School Party

We had Henry's school party today.  Since he is thinks Elmo is the coolest thing ever...we did an Elmo theme.  Sarah Baker had tons left over from Reid's party so she donated it to us!  His shirt is personalized and it is also a hand-me-down thanks to Amanda!  

We arrived after nap time and they were totally ready for the snack.  Henry was so happy to see all of us until I walked out of the room a second and then all hell broke loose!  So, we passed out the cupcakes and put on the hats and started singing to him.  Apparently Henry did NOT want his party hat on.  As soon as I took it off he quit crying.

Brother was the biggest helper!  He passed out the favors and the hats to each child.  He even helped them put on their hats.  Such a sweetie!

The school gave Henry a book, a birthday crown, and this sweet cupcake.  The candles are Henry's fingers and the polka dots are his friends' fingerprints!  How sweet!

Amy and Daniel

We had the privilege of meeting Daniel, Amy's boyfriend of 3 months this weekend.  I have been wanting to meet this fella since May 4th.  I offered to bring all my college scrapbooks to show Daniel, but Amy declined for some weird reason. 

Daniel was so easy to talk to and could talk about any subject. I am just so excited about these 2.  They seem like a great match!  Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!!  He is sweet and better stay that way!

We went and sat out at the POTC pool after hours and had to use the self timer for this.

Party Animals

We were some party animals this weekend.  We had a couple birthday parties and partied at the house getting some chores done.  I love chores!  Neil hung curtains in my room after 3 years of living here with no curtains and took the shutters off the house.  I am loving it.

We had Caroline's birthday party at Frozen Frog on Saturday.  She is the cutest little 3 year old!  Her mommy can make anything cute.  The FF was packed and her girls were dressed in the cutest outfits.

Caroline loved the skates we gave her.  Thanks to Jennifer for sending this to me!

After church on Sunday, we had Reid's 2nd birthday at Carolyn's house.  Sarah did a Sesame Street theme and then donated all her leftovers to us for Henry's party.  So sweet!

End of summer

As we wind down the summer, I start my depression state.  I absolutely LOVE my summers with my boys!  I just want to be home with them all the time, but I say that all the time so you probably already know that.  Oh well, it's my blog and I can say what I want!

I am trying to do a bunch of fun stuff before the summer is over...

Henry had his last Gymboree class! (tear)

Bennett got to go to cooking camp and even came home with a cute cookbook.  I love that our church offers so many fun things for families.

Double Dentist

Since summer is winding down :( I am trying to get all the appointments done before school starts.  We had the dentist today for both boys.  I decided to take Henry already because he has teeth and I wanted to kill 2 birds with one stone.  So, off to the dentist we went.  I seriously think the other dentist goers and hygienists were SO ready for us to leave by the time our visit was over.  It was a crazy visit but what matters is their teeth are in tip top shape!  

My idea was to get a picture of both boys sitting on this couch smiling.

There was another boy who saw my camera and wanted to take our picture and pictures of other stuff.  So, he took this one of us. Thanks, kid!

Bennett was a trooper!  He chose chocolate toothpaste and fluoride!  ick!

Henry was so excited for his first dentist appointment!  He didn't love having people looking in his mouth.  She tried to brush his teeth with bubblegum toothpaste.

The turning point for Henry was when a lady handed him a dentist frog.  He saw it, grabbed it, and shouted "yay!"  

It only took 4 of us to hold him down and then I looked up and saw everyone staring at us.

After we saw the dentist we got to pick our prizes!  They walked out with armloads of stuff!

This was right before Henry laid down in the middle of the waiting room face down screaming because I put all the goodies in the bags and got ready to carry them out.  Again...all eyes on us.  Oh, the memories!
