Henry's Spring Fun!

Spring is so much fun!  But, there are so many events that every single organization has to end the year.  They are all fun, time worthy, and worth celebrating!

Henry had his blue and gold banquet.  He was so proud!

We hosted a NERF party for our auction.  Each kid paid $25 to stay after school for nerf fun and snow cones!  It was a great party and raised some good $ for the school!  It's all for the kids!

Henry's Pinewood Derby

Henry had his first Pinewood Derby as a scout!  He and Neil made their car and it was so fast!  He wanted it to be blue with saints and a dragon on it so that's what they did!

Henry the Cub Scout

We have a pretty big pack of Cub Scouts at our school and they are very active. Henry is loving being part of it.  The goal is to sell around $300 worth of popcorn per scout.  We sold at Twisted Root one Sunday and didn't do very well so we went to Wal-mart the next weekend and KILLED it!  He sold over $500 worth of popcorn (about $200 was to family and friends, but hey-he did it!)  

He wasn't shy at all about going up to patrons to ask if they'd like popcorn and who could ever say no to those blue eyes and that cute face?? Not may people I'm telling ya!

We didn't know that he would be recognized at the pack meeting for selling!  They called up the boys who sold over $500 worth and gave them each a $25 visa gift-card!  So nice!  He was so excited!

Henry's Scout Day at the Tech Game

We had been to Ruston for like 6 weekends in a row and just did not want to go again.  It was the Tech Scout Day game and we didn't want Henry to miss it!  Sweet Amy and Daniel offered to take him and HE LOVED IT!  They treated him like a king and had so much fun!

They stopped at the gas station before even getting on the road for snacks! yesssss!

They had so much fun playing on the field!  I know Henry had fun because he was asleep when the brought him home.  Thank you, Amy and Daniel for giving Henry such a great time!

Pinewood Derby

Bennett won Pinewood Derby for the first time!  He and Neil worked on his car about 24 hours before it needed to race.  They weren't too hopeful, but he won 3rd place for the Bears!

Pinewood Derby

Cub Scouts Pinewood Derby was pretty non-eventful this year.  Neil and Bennett made his car into the shape of a wooden spoon.  It wasn't a winner and Bennett really wasn't into it.  Henry got to race Bennett's card from last year and it came in dead last every time.  We are good at a lot of things, but card building ain't one of them.
