Henry-Random

Lunch with Henry and friends: Henry, Caden, and Brayden

He said "Mom, take my picture."  But, we played a little round of Chutes and Ladders and we had no spinner so he said we could pick our number every time.  I chose the numbers that got me to the top in about 3 turns!  Henry chose 6 every time.

Highland Parade and Mardi Gras Fun

We were able to make it to the Highland parade before Carolyn's visitation.  It was a happy moment on a sad day.  We wore our Bless this Bayou shirts to church to celebrate Amy's adoption!

St. Jude VLC

The St. Jude Volunteer Leadership Conference was such a wonderful experience.  I've been on the St. Jude Gala committee in Shreveport for 3 years.  You are eligible to attend the Volunteer Leadership in Memphis if you are on a St Jude committee in your state.  Each state gets a certain umber of people to attend and since it was during Mardi Gras so none of the south LA people wanted to attend!  We got to have 7 of our committee members attend!

Our first task was to complete the Vision Board.  When we heard about this a couple months before we got busy planning!  You could tell that we were the only ones who prepared for this task.  We really thought there would be an award, but sadly, we were mistaken!

They made us take our balloons off.

Our theme for our Event is NO MO CHEMO!  We themed the event like a birthday party and it was STELLAR!  Here we are with our board before the cocktail party and dinner.

We were treated to a wonderful weekend at the Peabody, wonderful meals, and even got a tour of the hospital.  It was just a great way to treat your volunteers.  We were able to hear from patients, patients who are now doctors at the hospital, and, patient families.

We got to watch the famous duck walk!  This guy is only the 4th duck commander in the history of the Peabody!

Henry is 100!

Henry isn't 100 years old!  He is 100 days smarter!  This is such a fun tradition at school.  All of the kids dress like they are 100.  Henry loved this day!

HAHAHAHA!!!  I could not quit laughing.

Bennett's 3rd Grade Play

Bennett's 3rd grade play was ADORABLE!  They did a few songs from Broadway.  I love how his music teacher gives every kids a chance to shine!  If you don't want to sing, dance, or speak you can just be in the chorus.  It is really great!

Bennett was in the Grease part of the play so he wore a cute leather jacket that we borrowed from Melanie.  Easy costume for sure!

He used to HATE these programs.  I mean he wouldn't even do the hand motions or anything.  His teacher really gave him the confidence to own the stage!

He had to take the microphone and say "Uh Huh" as his "solo!"  Loved it!

We were so excited that Nana and Gammy came to watch the play!
