Uncle Frank's Show

We were thrilled when Uncle Frank headlined at Queerport 2019.  Friends and family came to enjoy the show!  And he sold out of his merch! All 10 shirts sold QUICK!

Contact him @ frankmichaeljones@gmail.com if you'd like your very own shirt for $10!

Dad loved it!  He sat down behind someone's booth to watch.  This was a booth in which they were selling items.

Getting ready to slay!

Trivia + Bears

We love our trivia team!  We play with the Harpers, Reeds, and Williams each month.  Marshall and Daniel are like the biggest geniuses over all.  I go for the socialization.  My brother joined us this month which was a treat.  He had been wanting to go to live bank karaoke for months and it happened to be this night!  So, a few of us loaded up and went after trivia.

This was so funny and I'm so glad I got it on camera!  My brother who goes to ST using my dad's membership was mentioning something he had read in the ST magazine.  He said "Amy, it's something members get."  Knowing he isn't a member and he just read the thing at my dad's house.  Guess you had to be there.
We went to El Dorado and they didn't have karaoke!  My brother had called ahead and everything.  It wasn't going to be until the end of June!  UGH!  We made the best of it and went to Bear's with the Harpers!

They happened to be doing the EXACT same trivia questions at Bear's so we knew all the answers.  We got home around 10-I felt so cool going "out!"

End of Year fun and Uncle Frank's Birthday

One of my last things to do after 2 years of PTA presidenting was to go to the district PTA awards ceremony to collect our awards for the year.  What fun to see all of our hard work pay off!

Diana, me, Tori, and Kristin

We won a few awards as a PTA, but you know I can't remember which awards we won.

On the way from the meeting Uncle Frank's birthday dinner I stopped by the Poppy's Open House!
They happened to be having a Holy Angels night in the shopping center where the birthday dinner was located so we got flower crowns that totally made our night!

It's so crazy, but everyone of these people were out and about and able to stop by the dinner!  yay for fun friends!

My fave pic of these monsters!

Happy 34th birthday, Uncle Frank.
He acts like he doesn't like this, but when people ask "who is older?"  I always say "him."  And when people say I look younger-he can't even handle it!  So, HAPPY ALMOST MID-THIRTIES TO MY BRO!

Pumpkin Shine on Line 2018

This year our school theme for Pumpkin Shine was "Set Sail for Fairfield!"  Each grade has a specific theme to make our display.  1st grade (Henry) was anything pirate related.  He painted a pirate ship and didn't want ANY help!  It turned out pretty great!

Bennett's grade (4th) was anything US water related (due to them studying US history). He did Blue Mountain Beach.

Sister doesn't go to school with them, but wanted in on the action-she (I) made a pirate treasure chest.

We had about 10-12 blue tablecloths for the "water."

She was so proud!

He did great!  We borrowed sand from a friend!

So proud of his pirate ship!

WE LOVE having Uncle Frank in town with us!

Oh this was Uncle Frank's pumpkin! haha! He painted a pirate!

Red River Revel

In my opinion, the Red River Revel is the BEST local festival ever!  I just love it!  It must be a Shreveport thing, because Neil doesn't feel the same way as me.  I've also talked to other couples who have one spouse from Shreveport and the other one isn't and it's the same way-the Shreveport spouse loves it and the other can take it or leave it!

We were thrilled that Uncle Frank was here to Revel it up with us!  He was pumped to be with us too!

Sand Art!

And we even saw Camilla!!!!
Bennett got to go to the Revel for the 4th grade field trip and it was sort of a bust.  They forgot to schedule our group so we were there about 2 hours early.  The kids just played on the riverfront and ate lunch around 10am while we waited for our sessions.

Uncle Frank is here!

Uncle Frank came to town for about 6 weeks to help with Dad and it was just so great! We got used to him being here and being our sidekick.  He would go to lunch with us and just pal around town!  He also had to get up at the crack of dawn (9am) to drive Dad around.  This job was not for the faint of heart!

He was so interested in ballet that one day he came to watch.  He straight up WENT TO SLEEP on the couch of ballet!

Anyway, we were so sad when he left Shreveport and moved to NOLA! Come back, Uncle Frank!
