Sarah Kathryn goes to Mother's Day Out!

FINALLY!  My sweet girl got to start school.  Talk about fun!  She was so excited to finally have her turn, but when it came time for me to leave it was a total melt-down.  Her.  Not me.  I basically skipped out of the church like I was headed for a week long vacation.  The 5 hours I will have on Tuesdays and Thursdays are golden!

Sarah Kathryn enjoyed her time, too.  She has been dying to use her new nap-mat, but didn't nap the first day.  She did the 2nd so we are making progress!
Gosh, she is the cutest darn thing!

Photo-shoot!

Not sure who Kathryn is....I couldn't find our spot at first since the name is wrong on the sheet!

Sweet Summertime

We've been soaking up the last few days of summer around here.  But, that also comes with dentist appointments, projects around the house, and other random fun.  This was the first time Henry has actually let the dentist look in his mouth.  Great job, Henry!  He even got his teeth cleaned!

Thanks, Ray!
We got our kitchen cabinets painted white!  Yay!  Now, I just need to get my back splash done.  :)

Birthday parties galore

Neil changed out the medieval hall lights to these sweet drum lights.  He is so handy, he can do anything.

Sweet Sarah Kathryn's 1st birthday party!

It is just plain hard to believe that my last baby is 1!  It is so fun and bittersweet all at the same time.  Just to know none of my babies will ever be one again...tear.  But, we are so happy that she is thriving and loving life!

Merideth had the cutest party for Madeline's first birthday last year.  It was all the SWEETS and such and I asked if I could borrow.  She said YES!  Yippee for all the cute decorations I didn't have to make!!  We lined the driveway  and walkway in  lollipops that Merideth made.
SWEETS table

The throne

the favor was a toothbrush that said "for your sweet-tooth!"

Beverages

I played a video I made on YouTube throughout the party...set to music.  I cried about 6 times while making it,

Baby girl loved her pizza

She was PISSED listening to everyone sing to her

Gammy, cake, and Nana make everything better.

precious one

It's my party and I'll cry if I want to!

Not much damage

We opened her gifts and she got some great stuff.  This monogrammed dress from the Dicharry's was so cute!

Erinn got her monogrammed bloomers! LOVE and needed!  (There's Madeline in the background-all this party stuff was hers!)

Nana and Granddad gave her the most beautiful quilt you ever did see.  I LOVE this!  A few weeks ago Janine and I went and picked out fabric for this quilt and it's already pieced together!  I dropped it off at the quilter and I CANNOT wait to get it back!!  Such a special gift that will be treasured forever!

Obligatory family photo

We all wore pastels

Love all this pink and purple!

Sarah Kathryn is 11 months old!

Happy 11 months to our baby girl!  How did you get so big so fast?

Doctor appointment: none this month, but we were there twice last week.  Weight was 21 pounds.  And you were diagnosed with RSV.  We had a breathing treatment, steroid, and an inhaler.  Girl!

Clothes: You wear size 4 diapers.  You are wearing mostly 12-18 month clothes.  I've been putting bows in more and more and you just take them right out.  Ugh!  You look so cute either way.

Eating: You eat a 6 ounce bottle every three hours during the day while you are awake.  You eat fruit/oatmeal in the morning and 2 containers of food in the evening.  You've been trying new foods like blueberries, pasta, bread, and a few other things.  You seem to love baby food. :)  You don't really grasp the sippy cup idea.  We will keep working on it.

Sleeping:  You are getting great naps now. You take a good nap in the morning and a 2 hour nap in the afternoon.  You usually go to bed for the night between 7-8.  We put you in your bed and you cry for 20 seconds and go right to sleep.  We've had a few rough nights lately with you staying up all. night. long.  Poor girl.  The wheezing has been keeping you up at night.

Likes: being held while standing up...this is a sure fire way to get you to stop crying...we just stand up and you stop, riding in the car, riding in the stroller, eating, the paci, splashing during your baths, your brothers, watching people, smiling, knowing what is going on at all times, clapping, and laughing

Dislikes: seeing me walk out of a room, being alone, and being put in your bed

News this month: You are pulling up!  Only to your knees though.  You rarely lock your knees.  Hmmmmm.  I don't think you will be walking by 1 and that is just fine.  I like having you stay a baby for a long time!

On the move

This little beauty queen is EVERYWHERE!  You can't take your eyes off her for a second or she is in another room or eating dirt off the floor.  She can find the tiniest speck and it goes directly in her mouth.

This day she crawled right to the pantry and started taking things off the shelves in the door.  This girl is growing up too quickly!

Also, I wish someone would have told me to not buy dresses for her at this age!  A dress really gets in the way of her crawling.  I'm convinced that bubbles are the only way to go.

9 month old girl!

Happy 9 months to our beauty queen!  Time to start party planning!

Doctor appointment: Double Ear infection...it's looking like we will be getting tubes soon.
Weight: 20 lbs 7 oz: 75-90 percentile
Length: 28 inches: 75 percentile
Head: 17 1/4: 50 percentile

Clothes: You wear size 3 diapers.  You are wearing mostly 9-12 month clothes and a couple 18 month things fit..  I think you are loving bows when I put them on you.  Bows actually stay clipped to your hair...yippee! You do not keep socks on AT ALL.  As soon as I put them on you....you take them right off.

Eating: You eat a 6 ounce bottle every three hours during the day while you are awake.  You eat fruit/oatmeal in the morning and 2 containers of food in the evening.  You yell if you don't get the food fast enough!

Sleeping:  You are getting great naps now.  It's only taken 9 months!  You take a good nap in the morning and a 2 hour nap in the afternoon.  You usually go to bed for the night between 7-8.  You wake up sometimes for the paci or you just wake up to cry out and then go back to sleep.  We put you in your bed and you cry for 20 seconds and go right to sleep.

Likes: being held while standing up...this is a sure fire way to get you to stop crying...we just stand up and you stop, riding in the car, riding in the stroller, eating, the paci, baths, your brothers, watching people, smiling, knowing what is going on at all times, your light up tea pot, clapping, and laughing

Dislikes: having something go over your head (clothes), being alone, being put in your bed

News this month: You now have 2 teeth!  Your top 4 teeth are coming in and it looks quite painful. You can pretty much get to anything you want my scooting around.  You keep getting up on all fours to crawl, but since we have no carpet you can't get traction.  It's coming though!  What a big girl you are!  We are enamored with you!  We love you to the moon and back!

watching your brothers run by.

pretty blue eyes.

2 teeth and 2 hands clapping!!
