Last Day in Chucktown

After we went to Fort Sumter, we headed to Poogan's Porch...my fave!  Except now all they serve is breakfast and brunch and it wasn't near as delicious as I remember it.  We still got to have their wonderful homemade biscuits and mac and cheese so that was fun.  The server forgot to place the order for Bennett's crab cake so it took a sweet forever.

It's ok because we didn't have anything to do, but go to the hotel to swim!
Finally got his crab cake!

Poogan's Porch

It started pouring so I was thrilled to have my new Dry Bar umbrella!

We went to Peace Pies for dessert.  They make homemade ice cream sandwiches using homemade shortbread, ice cream, and a pie filling layer.  mmmmmmmmmm.

For some reason Bennett was not loving me taking his pic

No matter where we go on vacation, my kids are happiest at the hotel pool.

We got all gussied up and went to dinner at Circa 1886.  The restaurant was housed in the Wentworth Mansion's carriage house.  It was pretty fabulous.  It had the highest reviews on Trip Adviser so that's why we chose it. (Bennett had to go to the bathroom during this pic)

The one on the right is foie gras with toasted banana bread.

This s'mores souffle was on time!  The little pot had chocolate ganache that we poured down the center of the souffle and then added the crumbs and marshmallow ice cream.  DIVINE.

Dad got Baked Carolina

Our last night in Charleston. What fun!
