Canton Girls Trip

My girl and I took a little overnight trip and got to be the very first guests at my friend, Amanda's Canton Guesthouse!  It was LEGIT!  It was so modern, yet cozy.  The linens were luxurious!  Her mom, Lola was the best innkeeper...she even babysat Sarah Kathryn while Amanda, Leslie, and I went to dinner!  Talk about hospitality!

Amanda has 12 sprawling acres nestled right in the heart of Canton, TX. I'd recommend this to anyone needing a quick getaway!

Thank you, Sister for having us!  We were honored to be your first guests!

Her private pond with pedal boat!

Look how swank the inside is!

How cute!

This girl LOVED this trip so much.  She dressed herself and I went with it, because we were on a girls' trip and you can do wear whatever you want on a girls trip.

We went to a fun little breakfast place...just the two of us.

She wanted some make-up...real make-up so I laid it on thick.

Always posing...just like mommy!

She loved Lola's HUGE wrap around porch. Lola also has 2 dogs that were so much fun to play with.  This girl LOVES dogs.  They had so much fun!

I am hoping this will become a mother/daughter tradition.  Maybe we can sneak away the first weekend of Spring Break every year while the boys head to Ruston with Nana and Granddad.  Poor Daddy was home all alone.  He told me to please not worry...he'd be just fine!

Sarah Kathryn's Easter Hat Parade and Party

I am typing this in June 2018 from the ER with my dad so I have some time on my hands.  Dad is going to be just fine!

How is Sarah Kathryn old enough for an Easter hat parade?  Already in K-3!  She has THRIVED this year at school.  She loves it so much and even asks to go on the weekends.  Some days I just keep her at home and she will always say "when am I going to school? or "we forgot to go to school!"

She is so much different than the boys.  The boys really could have cared less about their Easter hats, but she was ALL about it!  She loved trying it on and looking at it.

I did eggs with little chicks all around with a fluffy chick hatching out of the egg on top!

Sweet girl at the Easter Hat parade!

Flowering the cross

This is the cross they flowered and of course, she had to get that pose in!

Hat was gone!

A few fun Easter songs!

Another mom and I were in charge of the Easter snack.  We did peep kabobs, bunny in dirt, and the same bunny juice boxes I did for Henry's party.  When you are making 22 you might as well make 14 more!
Delicious!

Cute little bunnies

Pretty girls!

Such a cute little class!

I really enjoy snacks made to look like dirt and mud.  Hint: my Thanksgiving teepees.

These took waaaaaaaay longer than I thought, because I had to cut out each set of ears, tape them on and take the straws off the boxes.

Mama is crazy

REALLY CrAzY!

Henry's Kindergarten Egg Hunt

There are so many fun parties in Kindergarten and Easter is just one of them.  The kids get to have an egg hunt on the front playground.  The catch is the eggs each have a letter written on them to spell BUNNY RABBIT!  They have an egg crate where each letter is written so they know just where to put the eggs.  There an extra spot for a sticker so each child can get 12 eggs.  What a fun way to hunt for eggs!

Getting ready to hunt.  This day they could wear a Spring Shirt and jeans so Henry opted for a Mario shirt and I didn't have it in me to fight it.

Running for those eggs!

Daddy was able to stop by for the hunt!

I was a crazy person and made those Easter Bunny juice boxes.  I keep telling myself that I won't get to do stuff like this much longer!

Cheers!

Muffins with Mom

Neil planned and executed the school's Muffins with Mom with the help from a few other guys.  It was so nice attend this!  I love how the guys all have their FEM aprons on to serve all the ladies!

Me with my boys!

Egg Huntin'

I'm in a little cookbook club and one of the girls hosted a little egg hunt for all the kids.  Bennett was by far the oldest and it made me realize that we may be outgrowing egg hunts.  Tear.

We had fun so I guess that's all that matters!

Lewises

B was so sweet to give eggs to other kids!

Janie hung eggs in the trees which was so cute!

I am so glad Paul got to "hunt" eggs!

How cute!

Bennett held Miller Shirley for Anna.
