Flirty and 30 Weekend

We had a total blast last weekend in Dallas for Amanda's "flirty and 30" celebration.  Amanda's parents hosted a fancy birthday party for her on the patio on Fernando's.  It included appetizers, fajitas, and any drink you could ask for!  They even served pralines and sopapillas for dessert. Neil and I were excited to be invited.

It just shows how great of a person and what a great friend Leone is because 4 people drove from Shreveport, 1 came in from Houston, and another friend flew in from Atlanta just to be at her party.  She had tons of new Dallas friends there as well.  It was such a fun weekend with friends!

Happy 30th!!

Leone and her mom, Lola
Since Tech was playing in Dallas against Army at the Cotton Bowl and we were already in Dallas..we thought we would go to the game.  Well, the weather had other plans.  We ate at Breadwinner's and then had to cancel our game plans.  It pretty much rained the whole day on Saturday.  We were OK with it because we had so much fun hanging out.

Leone's swanky apartments had lots of courtyards with these big, fancy chairs.

We went to The Nodding Donkey? for a little football watching.
We dined at the Porch for dinner.  I think our whole weekend was centered around food.  The porch is so delish.  We ate and talked and even ran into the Smith's and Raines'.  We told them to meet us..it wasn't like it was an accident!
Happy 30th!!!

Doug (Leone's new friend) and the rest of us.  He was hilarious!
We went back to the "swank tank" (Leone's apartment) for fun and games.  We played "awkward family photos" and it was hilarious.  Then we played "Nertz" where my team (Neil and me) lost every round.  I do not like to lose.

On Sunday morning, Leslie had to head out to FW for a 5K with her family.  We called up Anna and Brett to see if they wanted to meet us for breakfast. They did and we met at the Taco Joint.  They are the sweetest people ever!  We were so glad to get to meet McCann, their 1 month old baby boy!

We had so much fun in Dallas we decided to take the boys back.  We are headed out on Saturday to take them to the Perot museum and the new adventure garden at the Arboretum.  Fuuuuuuuuuun!
