Grandparent's Day

Bennett's grandparents are the best! They do so much for him and us. We wanted to honor them today with a fun lunch with their favorite boy. We had my mom, Charlie, Richard and Janine over for lunch. We made all kinds of yummy things. We made BLT stuffed tomatoes for the appetizer, pepperjack and spinach stuffed chicken, and succotash. We had a totally awesome Hazelnut White Chocolate Pumpkin Cheesecake for dessert. That was my first cheesecake to make and I was pleased with how it turned out.

Here is the tablescape. I love a good tablescape. I had some other plans to have a fabric runner, but I didn't get to it.

How did they know where to sit? Bennett will tell them! I just had him hold a piece of white paper and then had these printed wallet sized. I thought they turned out to cute!

We made picture frames for the grandparents on Thursday night. Bennett had the best time 'getting his hands dirty' making these frames. I think the grandparents loved their gifts!

Nana and Grandad

Bennett was so excited to give his grandmas their gifts.

Gammy was super excited!!

After the luncheon, Amy and I headed to the super ridiculously hot KRMD free concert. Hillary had some extra tickets in her car and gave them to us. Yay! Here is Hillary announcing. Thanks Hillary!

Here we are sweating like pigs.

Here is the band...Little Big Town. We ended up going to sit on the second row in the VIP section. We weren't VIP, but that is just how we roll.
Rebecca and Hunter Temple got back from Dallas and brought tons of good food from Central Market. I am so glad we get to partake in the Central Market feast!
