Lewis, Party of 5

Our new family of 5 has been brave!  We've gone all over the place...mostly to eat.

I took the kids to Target and felt like Superwoman!  I was seriously so proud like I had really accomplished something.  You can tell from this picture that we had a good experience.  I said "look at me and smile" and got this picture.  This is real life.

Sarah Kathryn slept through Bennett swatting Henry.

We traveled to Minden to celebrate Nana's Mother's Day.  She wanted us all to get together for crawfish so that's just what we did.  I had to nurse SK for 20 minutes in the car when we first got there so I didn't really get to visit.  Nana enjoyed the gifts that the boys chose for her.  Bennett chose nail polish and pink body wash.  Henry chose rubber gloves, a bucket, and a lip gloss that looked like a purple crayon.  They are always proud of what they choose!

Bennett "Mom, take my picture, the crawfish is biting me!"

The whole crew minus Neil and add James and Jim Brown (FYI: I put a sticker on my fat rolls)

We had a fun Preakness Properties lunch at Don Juanz...a Preakness family favorite.  We love the PP crew!  We had to have a working lunch to discuss possible Mobile Home Boot Camp and it was FUN!  We are trying to decide if we are going to Denver or Charleston.  I love either, but am hoping for Denver so we can see the Montgomery's.

Bowling Fun with Sunday School

We had fun at our Sunday School bowling social!  SK was my main focus so I felt like I was not really into the bowling.  The good news is that neither Neil nor I came in last place!

Mother's Day 2014

We had a happy Mother's Day around here.  It was sort of non-eventful because we had to stay home all weekend due to potty training Henry.  He has to be trained by August or he can't start First Baptist.  Neil made mom and me feel extra special.  He got up and cooked pancakes for me and the kids, made a fabulous lunch of Newk's and Cane's, and then grilled pork chops and made home-made mac and cheese for dinner.  I guess all we did was EAT the whole day!  Thanks, Honey!

Gammy loved her pedi/mani gift certificate!

Bennett is wearing his current outfit of choice...JEANS.  He wears them even when it is 90 degrees outside.

I heard some banging around in the kitchen and wondered what was going on.  Neil was whipping up a surprise dessert for me!  How sweet!  He knows how much I love cookie cake so he made one.  I smelled something burning a little while later...

oops...didn't take into account that it would expand and fall all over the oven.  No big deal...it was still delicious!
The boys got to decorate the cake...

And finally a picture with all 3 of my babies!!!  yesssssssssss!  One blessed Mama!

all my cards

Look what Henry made and planted.  Sweet!
And I now have a little trivet with Bennett's picture on it!

I love hand-made gifts from my babies!!

Henry and Potty Training

Potty Training Henry while trying to nurse Sarah Kathryn has been a tough deal.  It is hard to be right next to him 24/7 while hooked up to a baby. Thankfully, Neil has been handling a lot of the potty training. Since Henry has to be trained before he goes to FBCS, we decided that we should go ahead and start.  We didn't even try with Bennett until after he turned 3 so this is early for us.  Henry has been interested for a while and has even gone #1 and #2 on the potty for a few months now.  He is just not getting the whole concept of go to the potty BEFORE you pee your pants.

Henry's "special spot" on the couch
We sent him to school after 2 days of potty training boo camp at home.  They said he did really well the first day.  He didn't even wet during nap!

Day 2 at school was a different story...lots of accidents including poop!  ewwwwww.

Day 3 was great with just 2 accidents.

Day 4 was PERFECT with NO accidents!  But, the second we got him he pooped his pants!  WHAT?

Days 5-7 he spent at Nana and Granddad's and they said he did OK.  When they brought him back he promptly sat down on the couch and peed on it!

We don't know if we started too early or not.  The director at his school said we don't need to go back to diapers that's for sure.  I guess we will just keep on trying!  Potty training is one of those things that is just not easy!  Come on, Henry! You can do it!!!

It's a Girl!

I wanted to see if I could take all 3 of my babies somewhere by myself and I did it!  I don't know why I got nervous taking Bennett by myself, Henry and Bennett somewhere, and now all 3.  I guess it is the fear of the unknown.  We were able to do it!  We went to Orange Leaf and all made it home safely.

We finally took a picture in front of the giraffe and "It's a Girl" sign in front of the house. Yippee!

Erin Dicharry brought over Maddie and Amelie's "It's a Girl" door hangers for or doors to announce the arrival of our girl!  Our house is covered in pink and I am loving it!  Thanks for letting us borrow these, Erin!

FMJ comes to town!

I was so glad that my dad flew my brother in to meet Sarah Kathryn!  Too bad I forgot to snap a picture of him holding her.  He had tons of fun with Bennett and Henry though.  They went to soccer, AirU, and had plenty of fun in the back yard.  We even got to have a 29th birthday celebration for him.  Dad got steaks and mom picked up and ice cream cake.  Janine made a salad and Richard grilled the steaks.

We even got together with the Boswell's!
