36 Weeks!

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 36 Weeks

Size of baby: from the I-pregnancy app... 5lb 13 oz

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Gained lots.

Maternity Clothes: All maternity. I am down to only a few tops that fit.

Gender: A beautiful boy! His name will be Henry William.

Movement: He is doing great with his movement.  Moving like crazy!

Sleep: I sleep really well except for the bathroom breaks and tailbone/hip pain.  I am up usually 1 1/2-2 hours.

What I miss: sleeping on my back and having energy (I am constantly exhausted.)

Cravings: fruit, ice cream, water, and anything cold

Symptoms: I am still having some pain in my tail-bone and hips and I am really tired.  I've had a lot of round ligament pain this week.

Best Moment this week: Finding out today that I am 1 cm dilated and 25% effaced!  Woohoo!  I asked Dr. Tynes if I was still good to be induced on August 11th and she said "if you make it that far!"  So, I wonder if he will be coming early?  I am really scared to go into labor...I am a planner!  I loved getting to see our beautiful boy today.  They let me have a sneak peek because we couldn't really see him during our 32 week ultrasound.

I think he looks like Bennett!

Summer Weekend

We headed over to Ruston on Friday night for a surprise 30th birthday party for Hunter.  Neil and Hunter grew up together and their parents are good friends.  We were glad to be a part of his special night.  Happy 30th, Hunter!  We were only able to stay for a little over an hour because I was absolutely burning up.  We headed back to the Lewis' for a laid back evening of pjs and tv...my kind of night!

me, Hunter, and Neil

We got up bright and early and headed back to Shreveport from Ruston to make it to Drew's 2nd birthday party.  I am so glad we came back for it because Bennett loves Gymboree and seeing all of his friends.  And he was worn out and fell asleep on the way home from the party.

Bennett just loves babies!  He went and sat right next to Briggs and started rubbing his head.  I hope he loves Henry as much as he loves all of the other babies!

Bennett was so excited that he caught a bubble on his thumb...I was so excited that I caught this on camera!

Happy Birthday Drew!  "Bemmett" (this is what Drew calls Bennett) was excited to celebrate with you.

On Saturday night, we made some last minute plans to eat at Country Tavern with friends.  Kyle and Lindsey Allen were in town from New Orleans so we certainly wanted to meet up with them.  We got to eat with the Chandlers, Heath and his girlfriend, and Kyle's family.  We even saw a ton of people there that we knew...but as they were arriving we were making a quick exit.  =We headed home to the best babysitter ever...Mom!  Thanks so much for keeping Bennett at the last minute!

On Sunday, we got to experience the brand new Emmett Hook Center at church.  Our contemporary service, Faithlink moved to a brand new building.  We have been anticipating this move for weeks.  Leslie's office is the one that designed the whole thing and it looks great.  Way to go Leslie!  It was fun to have Leslie with us because she knew about all of the short-cuts to get back to the nursery.  Worship today was fantastic in the new space.  I am so excited that we will get to have Henry baptized in the new building.

After a nice nap (by all of us Lewis'), we headed to the Buteau's house for some sliding fun!  Their grandmother gave them this enormous water slide that it perfect for the kids.  So glad we got to hang out and enjoy our kids together.  It is fun to get together and socialize while the kids are occupied with something that's so much fun.

Lucky Ducky!

Look what I got in the mail!  I was so excited when I found out that I won Brooke's giveaway!  She gave away some awesome handmade stuff from her sister's etsy shop.  The shop is called Six Little Hands and she has some great stuff.  Right when I opened up the package I used the body butter...nice!  I can't wait to use the scrub and the soap.  I love winning!!

Such cute packaging and great products!!

Thanks so much to Brooke and Melanie!

Swimming Fun

Neil's Aunt Elizabeth was in town last week from San Francisco.  She happened to be spending a little bit of time in Benton at Neil's other aunt's house.  We headed out there to see her and Catherine, the Yates family, and the Stuckeys.  We had a fun evening of swimming and Johnny's pizza (my favorite).

Our boy is getting very brave around water.  He loves it now!

Library fun with friends

We had a fun time at the library this morning.  The songs and stories are always fun to hear.  We met the Montgomerys and Casey had both kids by herself!  She made it look so easy.  I hope I can manage as well as she did!

Mason and Bennett (I thought they were being so sweet until Bennett said "I'm choking Mason!"  I was appalled and so embarrassed!  We tell Bennett that he chokes us when he wraps his arm around our necks...so maybe that's why.  I hope he wasn't trying to hurt sweet Mason!

Sweet boys!

More coloring!  He is really getting into coloring.

Great job, boys!

Casey with Mason and Evie.

Since Bennett decided to pick out about 20 books, we had to return them so they could be re-shelved.   I know that most librarians do not want the patrons to put the books back because they are usually put back incorrectly.  So, we put them in the book drop.

We headed to Chick-fil-A for lunch and play time.  It was so chaotic.  There were about 1,000 people there today.  We ran into Megan Black and she sat with the boys so we could order.  They ate all of her french fries! Glad to run into her because it was nice to visit.

35 weeks!

Neil was being extra handy tonight so I got Bennett to take my picture.  He did a great job!

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 35 Weeks

Size of baby: from the I-pregnancy app... 5lb 6 oz

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Gained lots.

Maternity Clothes: All maternity. I am gigantic and it is just not cute.

Gender: A beautiful boy! His name will be Henry William.

Movement: He is doing great with his movement.  I can sometimes feel him kick in my ribs and pelvis at the same time.  I wonder if he will be long?

Sleep: I sleep really well except for the bathroom breaks and tailbone/hip pain.  I am up usually 1 1/2-2 hours.

What I miss: sleeping on my back and having energy

Cravings: fruit, ice cream, water, and anything cold

Symptoms: I am still having some pain in my tail-bone and hips and I am really tired.  I just don't feel rested.  I guess this is God's way of preparing me for what is to come.  It is harder to get up off the floor.  Neil usually has to help me get up!

Best Moment this week: Making my list of to-dos before Henry arrives.  It is getting so close...I can't believe it! And finding some baby gift-cards I had misplaced.  Yippee!
