Tech Game!

We decided a while back to go to the Tech vs. Rice game.  It was the last home game and Granddad made it happen.  He got us tickets and a parking pass.  So nice!  Going to Tech games is so much more fun now than when I was in college. When I was at Tech I was only worried about getting to the party and never stayed longer than half-time.

This Tech game I was in spirit wear as was my whole family.  Too bad we didn't get a family photo.
:(
We saw a ton of people we knew and just enjoyed the nice weather.  The atmosphere is so nice at the games.  The fans have good dispositions and there's no nonsense going on.  I sat there thinking this just as Henry started throwing a fit and SK threw up in my hair and all down my shirt.  At that moment Neil said he threw in the towel and made us leave! ha!  It was a nice afternoon cut short.  Maybe we will hit up more games next year.

SK got to meet cousin Virginia

We got to see Amy and Daniel!

And even Aunt Becky was there...

So cute!

Ethan Meets Sarah Kathryn!

My family was passing through town the other day as we were heading out of town to Ruston for the Tech game.  I am so glad we got to stop at their hotel for breakfast and to meet Ethan!  I didn't want to have to wait until Ethan's 1st birthday party to meet him.  He looks exactly like my cousin as a baby except he is a little blondie like his daddy.

I love my Aunt and my cousins!

Thanksgiving 2014

Thanksgiving was a lot of fun and super low-stress.  Love that.  I set-up the Thanksgiving photo booth like last year and even made Thanksgiving trivia quizzes like a couple years ago.  For some reason, people don't like my fun-tivities.  I don't get it! Work thought my quizzes were lame and so did Neil! ha!  I even gave the Thanksgiving photo props to dad for his Thanksgiving feast and they didn't even get taken out of the car...he said "no one wants to fool with that stuff!"  I guess I am from the mind set that all the work was done for you...you just have to take some pictures.  Oh, well.  I will just keep doing my lame games with a smile on my face! :)

14 things we are thankful for in 2014 in no particular order:
  1. Neil is not going back to Tulsa! Hallelujah!
  2. Family
  3. Food
  4. Our home
  5. Friends
  6. Grandparents
  7. Jobs
  8. Church
  9. Quality time together
  10. Movie Nights
  11. Family meals
  12. Aunts and Uncles
  13. Parents
  14. Being blessed to be parents of 3!

Bennett wrote each person's name on his quiz

Gigi and Grim

Rebecca and Gigi really got into the fun!

hahaha!!

All the ladies!

Little pilgrim boy and girl looking so cute!

Gigi gave SK her Thanksgiving dinner and said SK has a nice forehead and nice ears that don't stick out.  Yes!

Granddad won the quiz with 4/10!

We took a group pic using the self-timer.  hahaha!!  I love Gigi eating the pumpkin pie!!!

S'mores cheesecake was divine!
Mom happened to be in Shreveport so I went to pick her up to come play for a little bit.  I knew she would be all into the photo booth!

Thanksgiving 2014

After putting air in my tire, we headed home.  This is Henry...he fell asleep sitting up!  Thanksgiving wore us out!

Neil wanted to get home to get the tree house finished.

Thanksgiving Eve 2014

For the first time in 5 years, I had to work on Thanksgiving break.  One great thing about it is I didn't even mind working!  It was actually nice because we had a Thanksgiving feast at work.  So fun!

I got off work, we picked up SK, and headed to Ruston to see the boys and Nana and Granddad.  Nana had the best idea to set up a baked potato bar for dinner.  It was delish!

I got to work prepping my dishes for Thanksgiving while this little beauty played on the floor.

I couldn't choose which one to post so I chose both!

We love fires on the deck at Nana and Granddad's

We roasted marshmallows after dinner.  I think the boys ate 50 each.

Bennett had a stomach ache 10 minutes later.

Every time I turned around Henry was sneaking marshmallows.

November Phone Dump

I can't believe I haven't posted in November yet!  Life is super busy around here.  With Neil being gone Monday-Friday it didn't leave much time for blogging.  Now that we got the GREAT news that he will not be going to Tulsa every week...I hope to back around these parts more.  Having Neil gone was really starting to take its toll on me.  So glad we don't have to do that anymore...a year is enough!

The sweetest girl got croup and her first and hopefully last ear infection.

Bennett's Christmas list

My adorable little snow bunny

I painted all 21 Indian names on shirts for Bennett's class.

I got to help out with Patio Play at Henry's school.  It was so much fun and I love being able to help.

Here's Henry at PE.

We took our annual Santa pictures and they are sooooo cute!

I got to enjoy a MOPS mom night out.  Our mentor mom is fabulous!  She had all the stuff for us to make a craft.  We shoved Christmas lights in a bottle and Volia...a lit up wine bottle.  She even made soup for us!

We got a fence and a gate! yay for safety!

Happy Birthday to 61!

We were so excited that Granddad finally got home from his 3 week sailing adventure and that he got home on his 61st birthday!  We all had brunch at ABE and enjoyed the company of family for only 2 hours of brunch.  Bennett kept singing "Happy Birthday to 61" so I thought the title of this post was fitting.

He loves the sweater we gave him.

Granddad loves to be in"VEST"ed.

The sweetest love took a little rest during the brunch.

I love a group photo.

Happy 61st birthday, Richard!  Here's to 61 more!
