Sarah Kathryn at 6 months

Our beautiful girl is already 6 months old!  How on earth?

Doctor appointment:  17lbs  2.5oz" 70th percentile
                                  26 3/4 inches: 85th percentile
                                  16 1/2 inches: 45th percentile

Clothes: You wear size 3 diapers.  You are wearing mostly 6-9 month clothes.  You are loving being in your dresses, bubbles, and basically anything.  I think you need to wear more comfy stuff, but I love having you all dressed up.

Eating: You eat a 6 ounce bottle every three hours during the day.  You are doing well on your new formula.  We will start food at 6 months. We will start on Sunday due to the fact that you couldn't even keep pedialyte down on your half birthday.

Sleeping:  You sleep all night and we DO NOT go in to give you the pacifier.  Most of the time we turn off the monitor because you do wake up for a second or 2 just to scream and then go back to sleep.  You don't have a napping schedule and you need one.  You also like to sleep on your stomach.  It's hard to do with my work schedule.  And school lets you sleep on demand.  If you are asleep and there is a noise you automatically wake up to see what you are missing.  You love to be aware of everything.

Likes: being held, car seat, riding in the car, riding in the stroller, eating, the paci, baths, your brothers, watching people, smiling, knowing what is going on at all times, Mommy, Gammy, being on your stomach for a little bit, smiling, and laughing

Dislikes: having something go over your head (clothes), being strapped in the carseat, being woken up by a loud noise (brother), being disturbed/interrupted while eating has to be your most hated thing...you can't stand having the bottle removed while you are eating.

News this month: You are sitting using a tripod, but are very wobbly.  So cute.  You had your first illness...a little 12 hour bug.  It was just awful.  You threw up projectile style all over me, you, and Bennett.  It soaked the couch, and all our clothes.  We thought you were done because you were happy, but you vomited about 7-9 more times.  It was the saddest thing.  You couldn't even keep pedialyte down.  The nurse said I should take you to the ER, but I just couldn't take my tiny baby up there to all those germs.  You woke up happy and like your old self.  We headed to the doc today just to be sure.

I took these right after your first puke when I thought you were done and happy.  Turns out you were not happy nor done puking. :(

You are so beautiful and I just don't know what we did without you!!!
