The Polar Express

We drove to Palestine, TX with the Montgomery's and Buteau's to ride the Polar Express to the North Pole.  We have been reading the Polar Express for a few days to get Bennett prepared.  The weather was cold and rainy, but luckily the rain stopped while we were outside.  Seeing how magical Christmas is to him is SO MUCH FUN!  Henry was a trooper and only got a little fussy while we were waiting for the train to start, so I fed him and he was good to go.
The train ride was about an hour long.  On the way to the North Pole the chefs sang and danced and passed out hot chocolate and cookies.  They also read the book.  After we left the North Pole and Santa made his rounds, we sang Christmas carols.  It was a long day of travel but totally worth it.  I love making memories like this with our little family.  It was even more fun that we could share it with our friends! (Borrowed from Casey!)

A couple days ago the boys opened matching pjs to wear and they looked so cute!

Can you tell who is the calm one and who is the boisterous one?

Ready to go to the North Pole

My sweet little baby.  He looked so cute in the Christmas hat Carol gave him!

The train depot and train were so nice.

Sweet little face

The conductor signed our copy of the Polar Express.  Bennett was mesmerized by his beard and kept wanting to touch it.

Yay!  Santa!

St. Nick boarded the train and gave every child a bell from his sleigh.

This chef was so cute and fun.  Bennett danced with her down the aisle!
I am so glad we went to ride the train.  It was so worth it!
