Fashion Show! Fashion Show! Fashion Show at Lunch!

Please excuse my Office reference in the title. The Fashion Show was actually at Dillards. Let me tell you about our day and then get to the fashion show.

This morning we had the Captain Shreve Football pancake breakfast at Savioes. We met the Montgomerys and Claytons there.

The cutest boys.

The Montgomery boys.

Bennett loved the gator.

After breakfast, we met Casey and Mason at Eastridge to take 1 last swim before fall. I was so glad Casey invited us. I didn't think that Bennett was going to get to swim again due to the cast...but since we got it off last week...this was perfect! Red icees for the boys. They loved them.

We headed home so that Bennett could get his beauty sleep for his debut in the Dillard's back to school fashion show. Amy's cousin, Mary Catherine is like Ms. Dillards and used facebook to recruit models. Of course, I nominated Bennett! I don't believe that this will be our thing. When I got there it looked like all the moms were off of Toddlers and Tiaras. I was feeling really out of place. Oh well! It was cute to see him get up on stage and and do his thing. Amy even heard someone in the audience say "he's a natural!" Bahahahahahaha!

Ms. Dillards (Mary Catherine) did all of the announcing. She said "Bennett is going back to pre-school in his green polo and levi jeans!"

This was before the show. Bennett liked getting on the stage. He thought it was fun to stomp his feet.

Cheese! (I have trained him so well. I can't teach him his colors, but he will say cheese to a camera!

This was during the show. He climbed up on the stage like this.

Thank you Bennett!

Bennett and his public. It was so sweet of Amy and Catherine to come and watch. Thanks Girls!

Group shot. Everyone stood. He sat. I guess models can do as they please.

Cute thing!

10 weeks!

So, I am 10 weeks along. We always forget to take my picture when I actually have on make-up and my hair is down. Oh well...it is OK because we just want to document!

What is going on with this pregnancy?
  • I really think I am having a girl because this pregnancy is TOTALLY different. We already have a girl name picked out: Mary Moreland (Mary after my dad's mom and Moreland after Aunt Rebecca's middle name). I have some boy names that I like: Rowan and Henry and maybe even Rowan Henry as the whole name. I also like Ramsey.
  • I am not near as nauseous as I was with Bennett. I have been extremely tired. I was never too tired with B.
  • I have not told my students that I am expecting yet. I think I am going to wait a little while longer at least until I know if it is a girl or boy.
  • I go to the next week of pregnancy on Thursdays. I love Thursdays. I think it is so fun to find out what the baby's development is doing each week.
  • I looked it up and Baby Lewis #2 should be the size of a kumquat and already has fingers and toes!
  • Weight is less than 1 oz. and a little over an inch long (I got all of this information from babycenter.com
  • I already feel pudgy-er than I did just a few weeks ago.

Not too much more to report. We are so excited about the new addition to our family. I got the best news ever last night at my Tech internship meeting. The internship has always been 3 quarters (making it to where I was not going to be able to graduate because of maternity leave). Due to budget cuts, the internship is only 2 quarters now! It is a total gift from God because I have been so worried about what I was going to do. Thank you LORD!

BIG Thursday

Today was a big day! The beautiful Buteau boys were born! I wanted to get up to the hospital so bad to see them all day. I planned to go on my planning period, but they didn't get here until after. Neil and I went up to the hospital together to see the happy family. Erinn and Trey were both beaming and were so proud of their boys. It was so sweet. Georgia was being a sweet big sis just playing in the room.

I felt so privileged to get to hold both babies at the same time. What precious little angels!

Look at those sweet faces! Brown and Briggs Buteau.

Casey, Kelsey, and Mason were up there visiting too. We decided to take a cute friend photo.

His eyes were open! So sweet!

We ended up being able to have a nice dinner when we got home. Nana and Machine were at the house with Bennett. Nana made some delicious food.

Bennett and Machine showed each other their tongues.

2 peas in a pod.

Healed!

Bennett got his little cast off today! We were so excited for him! We are so thankful that his arm healed quickly and properly. That was an answered prayer. We were glad that Janine (Nana) could come over to take Bennett to the doctor. They had a good time going to lunch together at Chick-fil-a and then coming home to play.

Yay! My arm is OK!

Bennett was right back to his wild self. He was already climbing on his bed with his newly non-casted arm.

Haven't seen this arm in a while. It looks back to normal. Yippee!

Weekend

I was excited to get to this weekend. It was the one that was after my first week back to work. Boy have I been exhausted! I am usually in bed by 8 pm. We all were pretty tired on Friday so we didn't do much. The only thing we had on the agenda for Saturday was a birthday party. Since I haven't had anything this week I took a lot of pictures at the party.

Bennett and Neil at Mason Wiltcher's 1st birthday party.

Happy Birthday Mason!

I think the little banner turned out so cute!

While we were at the party, Bennett successfully tore up Camila's decorations (these balloons), set off their carbon monoxide detector, and ate a chunk out of Mason's football. I think it was a pretty successful hour. I cannot contain this boy!

We ran by the house that we put an offer on last week to show our friends and Neil's parents. I am trying not to get my hopes up too much about it. We need to sell our house.

We came home and ordered Imperial Cathay take-out. It is the best!

Bennett had fun playing with the chalk that he got from Mason's party.

Bennett had a great time playing with Nana and Machine.

Nana gave Bennett a bath right after he peed all over the bathroom floor! It is always something around here.

This was Bennett before church this morning...
Church was really great today. The best part was when Neil accidentally locked the keys in the car. We were so glad that Leslie was there to let us sit in the car with her until Pop-a-lock arrived. Thanks Leslie!

Pre-K 2

Bennett started his new pre-k class and I started back to work today. I decided that I would get up early and make us all a nice breakfast before our big day. I was feeling less than great so our breakfast never made it to the table. The smell of it just wasn't doing it for me. We were all pretty tired because our power went out from midnight until 4:30am! We were trying to sleep in a sweat box!

We are both representing CSHS in our gator attire.

When we arrived Bennett started to walk back to his old room. I stopped him and told him to go to this door. He wanted to check everything out before making his entrance!

Here is Bennett with his new teacher, Ms. Gwen. The room seemed like a lot of fun. She had things all over the wall and Jesus Loves Me playing on the CD player.

A family photo in our big boy's new room!
Bennett was so brave. He didn't even cry when we left. What a big boy in Pre-K 2!

My Classroom 2010!

I have been working for a couple hours every week for the past few to get my classroom ready for this year. I am so glad that I did it over time instead of having to do it all in 2 days. We start back with 2 days of teacher in-service tomorrow so I will be ready. It will be bittersweet to go back...I am glad to get back into a routine, but I have so enjoyed my summer with Bennett. Here is my room from last year if you want to check it out.

Here is my room from the front door. I still love the flowers on the side wall that Target donated last year.

Rebecca did a great job helping me with my side bulletin board border. Thanks Becky!

Here is my new SmartBoard. My supervisor bought it for me about 2 weeks into summer. I can't wait to use it this year. Thanks to Amy for showing me how to use it!

I had my directors chair embroidered with my name and the same gator that I use all over my room. I think Jeannie did a great job.

And here is my little "office." The back wall of posters is not complete and from looking at this picture...I need to move that extension cord. I like having a little nook in the back of the room.
I am looking forward to a great gator year! I hope and pray that my 2nd year will be a lot easier than last year.

Guess What????

Baby Lewis #2 is on its way! Woooohoooo! We are thrilled!

I was feeling pretty tired and would just fall asleep randomly. I knew something was up! I took 3 tests and they were all positive! Mom happened to be coming over right after so I had to show her.

She was so excited!

Yay! Positive!

This is me at 5 weeks pregnant.

I think Rebecca was shocked!

So was Nana.

We had Bennett had the bag to Machine. He thought they were sharpie markers. Nope...positive tests!!

Richard and Janine took us out for a celebratory dinner at Mabry House. I am always up for celebrating anything there. They said they already knew, because of my random napping. I am so not a napper!

We happened to be going to meet a bunch of friends at Wine Country after dinner. I thought...we aren't always all together so it would be fun to share the news with everyone at once.

Dad was in Arkansas playing in a golf tourney so we had to wait until he got home to tell him. He was excited!

I went to the doctor today. I am 8 weeks pregnant. Baby Lewis is looking great. Our baby had a heart rate of 140 today. Last week it was 110.

We can't wait to meet you Baby Lewis #2! Bennett can't wait to be a big brother!!!
