Ceramics

Amy, Catherine and I have been wanting to try out ceramics at church for a while now.  It is a fun time and we are about 40 years younger than the next youngest person.  We painted angels for all of the members in nursing homes.  We were only allowed to paint the white base coat at first until we showed off our skills.  We were then allowed to paint the faces flesh colored.

We really just laughed and played the whole time! Can't wait to do a ceramic Christmas tree!

I went the next week alone and had to clean up all of the messes!  I was on touch-up duty!  Sent this to Catherine and Amy:

One lady accidentally painted the angel wings the brown which is only the hair color! Goodness!  I had to touch her up A LOT!

This is 37

If my 37th year is anything like my actual birthday-it's gonna be soooo good!  It will hopefully be filled with family and friends and I'll be surrounded by those I love.  

My day started with my people showering me with homemade cards and LOVE!  Neil gave me the coolest gift ever! Custom Christmas ornaments for each year we've been married 2007-2018.  He gave me 2007 and 2018, but let me pick out the rest of the pictures.  I can't wait to get all of them!

After getting the kids off to school I went and had a fab breakfast with the Fab 5!  First Watch and friends=awesome!

Grabbed my girl and went for a fab lunch with Dad, Neil, Amy, Catherine and their boys!  Frank's for lunch is my fave!

Amy took SK to her house and that allowed me to go home for a nap!  This day just gets better and better!

Sister Leone sent me this YSL lipstick!  So much fun!  SK says she loves the details on the tube.

So...Neil came home one day and had a little grin on his face and said "planned your birthday today."  ha!  I love it so much!  He even ordered a cake (Berry Chantilly from Whole Foods) and even had a theme (Mardi Gras)!  He arranged for everyone to come to Pizza Rev and even reserved the private room! I loved it so much!

Kumo Sushi

Jennifer found this little hidden sushi gem called Kumo Sushi.  It's in an old pizza hut near the airport, but the sushi can't be beat!  We keep a running list of rolls and their ratings so we know what we love and what we don't!   Genius!

Kumo even serves wings!

Bennett and Safety Patrol

Our sweet boy is on Safety Patrol!  We have to arrive at 7:20 for him to be able to get kids out of cars each Tuesday.  He looks so good doing it!

Last Hurrah before school starts

We had a fun little outing to Chuck-E-Cheese on the Monday before school started back!  We happened to see Kris there!  What a fun surprise!

Henry had his follow up and gene study results at the endocrinologist, too.  We learned that he will need Human Growth Hormone injections. He will have to have 1 injection per day until he is 1.  This is a little worrisome because t took 3 of us to hold him down to give his flu shot.

While we were waiting for the doctor to come in-I had Henry work on his spelling words.  Butt was not one of his words.

Christmas Tree Bonfire

Our little Christmas tree bonfire that started with 7 trees a few years ago grew to 96 trees and lots more people this year!  

My favorite things about this year were the texts from people saying they had lots of trees or when we would load up and fill our trailer with trees!  I love "tree runs!"  One day I saw a huge tree on the side of the road.  I called Neil to ask him to pick it up.  He didn't.  The next day I was on my way somewhere and saw a truck on the side of the road picking it up!  I was like nooooooooooooooooo!  Turns out: it was Kyle McGuire!  Woohoo!  All for the Bonfire.

So many sweet friends came to help make it a success!

Neil and Jacques made some delicious gumbo.  They made about 40 gallons of gumbo and about 30 pounds were tossed. :(

S'mores Station!

I thought it would be fun to have a bunch of different kinds of chocolate for S'mores!

I had a fun little scavenger hunt for the kids.  I had 4 stations.  One with candy, one with head lamps, one with silly string, an done with glow bracelets! I like to make sure all the kids are lit up!

Rebecca even bought a few friends!  SK was excited about Jackson Yates being there!

Neil borrowed a flame thrower to start the fire!  It was lit!
