Gingerbread House Decorating

There's about a million things to do in December and they are all fun.  Counting down the days to Christmas, being together, and celebrating every last thing with these people is what dreams are made of.

Our sweet neighbor, Susan, gave the kids a gingerbread house kit to decorate and I had already purchased a gingerbread village kit so we just did them together.  Note to self: buy the house ALREADY OUT TOGETHER!  Putting these cookies together with icing while 6 little hands are trying to help is No Bueno.

Susan's went together nicely so we mainly used hers.  Our little houses broke and collapsed seconds after getting them together.

Is it bad that the main thing I see in this pic is a clean garage?

Bennett went for the simplistic look

Henry went for the eat as much as you can while decorating look.

Henry and his broken nose

Poor Henry ran into an open drawer and busted is nose.  1 week later he slipped and fell at school and broke his little nose.  It was so swollen and bruised, but he had a good attitude about it and never let him miss a beat!

This was the worst day!

Christmas Break Fun

The day before the break we had a little school mom meet up at Rhino!

One day we took the kids to N2O puff.  They dip these crunchy things in liquid nitrogen and smoke comes out of your mouth as you eat!

Since we were all the way in Bossier checking on a house, we called our business partners, Katie and Jared to see if they wanted to have a Preakness Properties Christmas party!  They said yes so we went to Don Juanz and Sweet Frog Fro Yo!  Love it!

Adult Christmas party {Gatsby Style}

Our baseball friends invited us to their home for their Gatsby Style Christmas party!  What fun it was to get dressed up!  Costumes are so much fun!  Thanks to Rebecca for having her wedding because I was able to re-wear my rehearsal dinner dress!  I got a few accessories from Amazon and VOILA...roaring 20s!

Neil was a different story!  He didn't have anything so he borrowed from my dad which is normally where he gets anything he needs for parties!   My dad is a true Dapper Dan.

I had to borrow a cigarette because I don't happen to have any of those around the house.

My hair.  Bless it.  I just have no idea how to do hair!  Like none.  I looked up this fancy way to do it and I NAILED IT!  sort of.

Bennett's 9th birthday party {baseball style}

Last year Bennett wanted to go to a Saints game for his birthday instead of having a party.  This year he really wanted to have a party because he missed having one last year!  So we had a baseball themed party at Air U, a trampoline park place.  We did it on a Friday night and it was THE BEST time ever.  We were the only party and there were only about 4 other people in the entire place!

These were the Festive Favors!

Another cookie cake for our boy!

The inflatable bats were a hit!  Pun intended.

We love Maddie!  She and her sister were the only girls invited.

Fresh from her honeymoon and at a birthday party!

Bennett and John have been friends since age birth
