Happy 10 months to our baby girl!

Happy 10 months to our baby girl!  Birthday party #1 is under way!

Doctor appointment: Tubes placed in ears on Friday.

Clothes: You wear size 3 diapers.  You are wearing mostly 9-12 month clothes and a couple 18 month things fit..  I think you are loving bows when I put them on you.  Bows actually stay clipped to your hair...yippee! You do not keep socks on AT ALL.  As soon as I put them on you....you take them right off.  You are growing out of everything.  I am running out of winter wear for you!

Eating: You eat a 6 ounce bottle every three hours during the day while you are awake.  You eat fruit/oatmeal in the morning and 2 containers of food in the evening.  You yell if you don't get the food fast enough!  We just started giving you banana, tortilla, puffs and yogurt melts.  You love feeding yourself.

Sleeping:  You are getting great naps now.  It's only taken 9 months!  You take a good nap in the morning and a 2 hour nap in the afternoon.  You usually go to bed for the night between 7-8.  We put you in your bed and you cry for 20 seconds and go right to sleep.

Likes: being held while standing up...this is a sure fire way to get you to stop crying...we just stand up and you stop, riding in the car, riding in the stroller, eating, the paci, baths, your brothers, watching people, smiling, knowing what is going on at all times, your light up tea pot, clapping, and laughing

Dislikes: having something go over your head (clothes), being alone, being put in your bed

News this month: You now have 4 teeth!  Your bottom 2 teeth and your eye teeth!  Fangs.  Just like Mommy's first teeth! You can get to a sitting position from your stomach now and you army crawl everywhere.  You are officially a crawler!   I've been trying to teach you to wave and you finally got it the other day!  I was more excited than you.  We are still practicing!

We love you soooooooooooooo much!!!!  Time is flying and I need it to slow down.  Now.

Tubes for Our Girl

After an ear infection per month since October, we decided to get tubes placed in Sarah Kathryn's ears.  And since we apparently love the ENT (this makes 4 surgeries with Dr. Pou for our kids) we get a discount on our 5th surgery!  Not!...but I did suggest it!  He didn't find it funny.

Hopefully these tubes will make her feel better and help her to not be in pain.  It was just awful having her on antibiotics 10 days per month only to get them 2 weeks later AGAIN.

Thankfully, Pops came over bright and early at 5:20 am to sit with the boys so we could take Sarah Kathryn to the hospital.  Amy came over and got Bennett ready for school and took him with her.  Thank you, Amy! I don't know what I would have done without y'all!

Such a big girl.  The Child Life lady gave her a little toy.

So happy!

It was so nice to have Carolyn there.  She was able to take her back to the OR so she wouldn't be scared.  Nurses are the best...especially when they are Carolyn!
I get so nervous when they take my babies back to be put under.  The doctor came back within 10 minutes and told us how well she did!  Yay! Answered prayers.

We got home and I found a fruit snack on the floor and said "who is eating fruit snacks?"  I looked around the corner and saw these 2 on the couch and Henry said "I am!"  It was 7:30 am.
Ann snuggled up!

Happy girl looking out the window.

She took a tiny nap and then wanted to eat some breakfast.  So happy!

New shoes!

Since Pops bought each of the boys their first pair of little while walking shoes, he wanted to do the same for Sarah Kathryn.  How sweet!  She tried on little Mary Janes and some sun sands.  The sandals were waaaaaaaay too big so we went with the little church shoes.  How cute!!!

King Cake Party

I made mini king cakes for Bennett's class out of canned cinnamon rolls.  Talk about the easiest thing ever.  The other room mom bought yellow, green, and purple sprinkles and icing so the kids could decorate.  How fun it is to be in Kindergarten because they celebrate everything....which is one of my favorite things to do.

I love this boy!

Such a sweetie!

He looks so cute in his uniform if I do say so myself. :)  I try to change it up on the uniforms and winter is really the only time you can be creative with the outfits!!!

Highland Parade

My favorite parade of the season is the Highland parade.  It is all about family and fun. The Buteau's had a party at their house again that made it easy for parking and hanging out.  Can't wait for next year!

I am so glad Rebecca decided to come over for the afternoon.  She bought us matching "laissez le bon temps rouler" shirts that I wore to every parade.  In fact, we all wore our Mardi Gras attire to each MG event...I just washed them everyday for a couple weeks!

The favorites are catching hot-dogs with little packs of mustard in them, bananas from the Chimp Haven float, and all the other random items such as: Ramen noodles, at least 7 different styles of footballs, dress up items including a fake tattoo sleeve, and other goodies!  What a great time with family and friends!
Sarah/Reid, Rebecca/Henry, Drew, Bennett, Neil and SK

Twinkies!

Thanks to Leigh for watching SK while I wrangled all the boys!

Bennett LOVES footballs.  He hugged this one when he caught it.

Hotdog for this boy!

Rebecca couldn't believe she ate a hotdog off a float! ha!  When in Rome...

Beads and a Banana!!???

Our best shot at a family photo

Love these cuties...we missed Dean!

Valentine's Day

As I said in another post, I love celebrating EVERYTHING!  Call me crazy, but I like making every moment count.  It's not much work and I am not trying to win any photography or party styling awards (obviously)...just a few little things made by my kids on the table to make it different than other mornings.

Valentine's breakfast was heart shaped pancakes with sprinkles and pink milk.  Mmmmmm.

After breakfast, we headed to Lowe's to make our "sweetheart frame."  Funny, I don't even know where those went!! :)
Bennett's Valentines "Whoopee! It's Valentine's Day!" on a whoopee cushion.  sorry, parents.

We had a family project to create a Valentine's mailbox out of an old cereal box.  Bennett was adamant that he didn't need my help.  I LOVE THIS SORT OF THING.  I was cringing because I wanted to help!!  I had so many ideas.  But, then I had to get a grip because it's a Kindergarten art project for crying out loud.  So, he wanted red and white only..I found paper and he drew all the fancy hearts, BFF, and I love you on it.  I asked him what color he wanted his letters to be for his name because I was going to Hobby Lobby...he said Orange and Green! ha!  That's what I got.  He was so proud and so am I!  Great job, Bennett!!
We brought the Valentine's treat...school colors on hearts? yes, please.
Sissy loved her balloon!

Valentine's lunch was heart shaped pizza.  No one ate it.

Henry's Valentine: "I'm donuts about you, xoxo Henry."  He loved powdered sugar donuts so I thought this was fitting.

More Mardi Gras
