Henry is 7 months old!

My Henry is 7 months old today!  We are closer to his 1st birthday than not and I just can't believe it.  Where does the time go?

  • Size 3 diaper
  • You wear size 6 month and 6-9 month clothes and some 9-12 clothes
  • You are still eating every 3 hours and usually eat 7 ounces.  I've just introduced "breakfast" to you.  This includes oatmeal with a fruit.  You eat a veggie or a fruit at night.
  • You go to sleep around 7:30 and wake up around 7 usually.  You are a great sleeper!
  • Big news this month is that you are officially a sitter!  Charles and Mimi (the people that keep you) called me the other day to let me know that you were going from lying down to the seated position.  This is true!  You are such a big boy.
  • You are a mover.  If you see something you want...you will get there.  It's not a crawl and not a roll...more of a get there any way you can move.
  • You are cooing a lot and "talking", but no real word sounds yet.
  • You love to pull and grasp anything and everything you can get your hands on.  You pulled my entire plate of breakfast on the floor the other morning.
  • No teeth yet!  I think you have 1 coming in on the bottom.
  • You LOVE you pacifier!!!
  • Bennett just loves you.  He will say "I want Henry to lay on me or I want Henry to lay in my bed."  He loves making noises to make you smile and laugh.  Pretty much anything he does makes you laugh.
  • You are such a sweet baby and you only cry when you are tired or hungry or mad.  We couldn't ask for a better boy.
I caught you reading..I guess you got mad at the dogs!

22 looks good on you!

We went to Monjuni's to celebrate my dad's 22 years of sobriety on Tuesday night.  Way to go, Dad!!!  I know it supposed to be anonymous (AA stands for Alcoholics Anonymous) and all, but my dad does not mind sharing.  He will tell you that he HATED going to meetings for the first few years.  He will tell you that it was NOT FUN. And he will also tell you that he would not be here today without that program.

Happy 22, Dad.  22 looks good on you!  (I'm sorry the pictures aren't better...all taken on my phone.)

Look at Henry's gut! Love it!

Bad picture, but we were all there and this is a girl that likes to document with photos!

Happy 31st, Neli!

We all got up early this morning to celebrate Neil's 31st!  He was not excited to be turning 31! I think he looks pretty darn good for 31.

Bennett, Henry, Dad, and I went to Lowe's on Sunday afternoon to pick up his gift.  Bennett has been telling him all week what it was.  He was so excited and couldn't wait to give it to him.

yay!  A battery operated tool set!
We ate low-fat blueberry cream cheese french toast casserole for breakfast.  It had no flavor and will not be a repeater at our house.  Glad we tried it though.

Happy Birthday, Daddy!  I love how they are all doing what I hoped they'd do!

And no...I did not misspell Neil's name on accident on the title of this post.  I went to Target last night to pick up a little cookie cake for Neil's birthday treat tonight.  We have to bring snacks to our marriage class and I wanted him to have something special.  So, I wrote out that I wanted the nice lady to write on his cake...

Exact note she used to write on Neil's cake

And this is what she gave me...

hahahahaha!!!  I thought it would make a funny story so I didn't ask her to change it.

Have a wonderful day, Neli...you deserve it!

Hospital and a Double-Wide

Both of Neil's parents are a little banged up right now.  We ran over to Ruston to see them on Saturday.  Richard was so cute with Henry and Bennett didn't want to leave Nana's side.

Bennett said "I'm going to feed them medicine and give them kisses."

Bennett kisses are the best medicine.

After leaving Ruston, we headed to Doyline to the 604 hunting club.  Neil has been working so hard to get some sort of structure put out at the camp.  Well, the 1979 double-wide is out there and ready for a clean-up.  The boys were giddy as it was being unloaded.

Scott, Andrew, and James joined us out there to see it in all of it's grimy glory.  It needs a lot of TLC, but I think we will get it looking good in no time!  I am thinking about framing the words to the song "Queen of my Double-Wide Trailer" and putting it on the wall out there.

Date your Man-Love Notes

http://thedailysweatpants.blogspot.com/

I am linking up with Amanda for her "date your man" linky party.  These are so much fun...you should try it!  We sort of had a date last night.  We are taking a marriage class at church and it is so exciting.  I have been looking forward to it since our last meeting  We had the first official class last night and we learned a lot of fun stuff.  Last night we learned to do dyads, love notes, and other general class procedures.

We got to sit with each other and talk without very many interruptions for 2 whole minutes!  This was during the dyad...more on that later.

Today I will share the love notes section.  We were supposed to write this:

My spouse deserves to be loved, honored, and respected because ___________.

So, we did it.

You just fill in the blank with your spouse's name and then include a reason why they deserve to be loved, honored, and respected.

This is what Neil wrote to me!

He explained later that I should be loved, honored, and respected for EVERY reason.

I am going to make a sheet of labels where I can leave them randomly for Neil.  If you want to do this for your spouse, I made them easy for you to print out. Click here. Thanks, Amanda!

Boys Being Boys!

Trey and Georgia invited a few friends out to his aunt and uncle's house to watch the Bass Master classic boats drive in to the boat launch. Our city hosted the BassMaster classic for the second time this past weekend.  Apparently this is a huge deal for anglers and other sportsmen.

They left around 1 pm and didn't get home until 5:30!  Since I wasn't there, I had to be creative on how I collected these pictures.  The photos came from Neil, Matthew, and Beau.  I got them all via text!  Neil and Bennett had a great time with friends.

playing in the grass seems fun...if this would have been me I would have been worried about bugs the whole time!
