We decided to go to Brookwood today to meet some friends. They have a fun little Mommy and Me play group there on Thursday mornings. It was pretty fun to get out of the heat and enjoy a story and some songs.

After, we went to the Boardwalk to meet Gammy for lunch. It was fun. We just walked around and enjoyed each other's company.

Wednesday Fun

We decided to stay out at Neil's aunts on Tuesday night. We got up bright and early and Bennett was ready to go for a swim. He would just get right in. He scraped his legs and stomach every time he got in and out on the rocks. It did not slow him down 1 bit!

I left Bennett with Nana and the Machine so I could go get some stuff done in my classroom. I only really had enough time to get there and become overwhelmed. I have tons to do up there! We all met for lunch at A Stone's Throw...even Uncle Andy came with us! I brought Bennett home and he took a great nap.

While Bennett was napping, we had a fun visitor...Jennifer! She was due with Baby Caroline today. She brought over some old albums for us to look through. Jennifer was my first best friend. We lived across the street from each other for years. I even remember when her little sister Renee' was born! We have pictures of us from every Halloween for years. Can't wait to get our babies together for play dates! Doesn't she look great? We are ready to meet Baby Caroline!

After Bennett finally woke up from his 3.5 hour nap, we headed to play group at Ann and Max's house. We were excited to get to play inside because the heat is ridiculous down here! We did make it outside for about 5 minutes to play on Max's cute water table.

After dinner, we headed to Lowes. Bennett LOVES the race car shopping cart. He pitches the biggest fits when he has to get out.

We had a great time today out at Neil's Aunt Catherines. She is out of town and Richard and Janine decided to stay out here. I invited a couple of friends out to have lunch and swim around. We had a really fun, laid back time. The kids at everything in sight! We had grapes, blueberries, cookies, turkey, cheese, and a ton of Capri Suns.

POP!

We went to the POP! exhibit this morning at Artspace after VBS. It was a really cool exhibit where they used bubblewrap to create art. Bennett was a little sceptical of the bubblewrap at first, but then really warmed up to it!

Of course, I took a million pictures of my cutie in the bubblewrap.

This was so cool...it was a huge piece of bubble wrap and the bubbles were filled with paint. So cool!

Happy Birthday Carolyn!

We got together on Tuesday night for Carolyn's birthday. We all really like Carolyn and are glad that she can stand to be around us.

I uploaded the pictures in the wrong order and I don't feel like adjusting them...

We went to Maggie Moos for ice cream after our meal at Cush's. This is the first time we have all gotten together since my dad started dating Carolyn over 4 years ago.

Visit with Friends

Bennett and I got up bright and early to help out with VBS. We headed to the library to meet Casey/Mason and Margaret/Annabella. The kids were doing some really cute stuff, but I refrained from bringing my camera due to picture overload.

We had a nice surprise visit from Merideth. She was in town finding out if she was going to have a boy or a girl! We are excited that she will be having a girl named Molly Caroline. I love that name and I love that they will be the M. Boyd family. Montana, Merideth, and Molly! Cute. We got to see all of her awesome sonogram pictures, too.

Merideth's favorite toy when she was younger was the book. I think that was why she was valedictorian of her high school class.
