Spring Break Day 7

Friday was a very productive day! Kristin Mosura was having an awesome deal with 30 minute photography sessions at Norton Art Gallery. We had to be dressed and ready and at Norton by 8:30 am. Since Bennett wore his adorable little Easter outfit in white and yellow...I wanted us to match. He looked like a little doll in his button-on shorts and knee socks!

He was exploring so much it was hard to get a picture.
My Lewis boys...

After pictures, we took Bennett to daycare so that I could get some work done. Neil was off work today so we dropped off our tax stuff at the tax guy's office and headed to Strawn's for breakfast.
I was one busy bee today. We have been playing all week so it was time for me to buckle down. I ran errands, did some house work and school work. I actually got some of my class work completed. Online classes are so much more work than a classroom class. I guess they want to keep you busy 24-7. I will certainly be glad when I am finished with my Masters program.

After the busy day, we went to the Burfords house for pizza. They invited their neighbors who have an 8 month old and the Blanchards, too. I wish I had pictures of Liam and Elodie. It was fun to hang out. We were talking last night about how different our conversations are now. We were talking all about baby stuff...poop mostly! ha!

Here are Bennett and Max. I remember when Ann bought these Adirondack chairs. She was so excited that one day her son and his friends would be able to sit in them. It looks like that dream came true!

Do you see how Bennett has on tennis shoes and socks with that little short outfit? I am wondering if that is the style for boys. Last year, he was always bare-footed and not walking so I didn't really have to worry about it. Any ideas?

I had to take a picture of this awesome porch of theirs. The Blanchards gave them some old doors from Canton and Chris mounted them on rods at the end of their porch. How cool does this look?

Bennett loved playing with Ted. He even let Ted lick his face!

This was a great end to our Spring Break. Now, we just need to get back in to our school night routine.

Spring Break Day 6

We were up, showered, and out the door by 10 am this morning. We had a couple of things on our agenda. Twin Cities, the company Neil works for was having a blood drive today. He is not one to donate blood so I decided to donate in his place. Casey donated too (behind me). FYI: Yes I got my hair cut and yes it is too short.

Sean and Uncle Andrew loved getting to play with Bennett today at work.
After donating blood and feeling light-headed, we went to eat lunch at McAlisters with the Montgomerys. We headed to Kid City after lunch.

Kid City was a really neat totally free play place. It was at Shreveport Community Church. We will definitely be going there during the Summer. It was so much fun. The boys just loved it. Since we have smaller kids we had to crawl in the whole thing with them. We were all worn out after Kid City! It was a great time, though.

Look at what a big boy Mason is climbing up the cargo net!

Bennett was loving getting in to everything single tube, crevice, and crack. He was on the go the whole time.

Look at those cuties!

I think Bennett looks like more of a little boy instead of a baby in this picture. My cousin wrote me an e-mail yesterday saying that she thinks Bennett is starting to look different now, too!

Deep in thought...

And this is what we had on the way home from Kid City. One pooped boy! Look how big he is!

After his little nap, addressing crawfish boil invites, and putting up clothes, we headed to Uncle Andrew's new house right around the corner. We think he doesn't want to be too far from us.

We headed to the Mudbugs game tonight to meet my friend from school, Toby. Her hubby is one of the hockey players. I am so glad I have gotten to meet her this year. We have a lot of the same students and can use each other to vent about our days. I will miss her when she leaves this year.

Bennett was pretty good during the game. He would get really loud and cheer "yayyyyy!" Here are my 2 boys.
I will have to say that I am pretty upset that Spring Break is almost over. It has been too short. We have had a wonderful week being together. Tomorrow, I will have to get down to business. I need to get my tires aired up, get my oil changed, and actually do some school work!

Spring Break Day 5

Whew! We had a busy day! We saw tons of family and friends and were on the go all day long. We left the house at 9:30 am and didn't return until 10 pm. Talk about busy.

We started out day at Starbucks for story time. The only thing missing was the story time. Apparently they decided to take the week off for Spring Break. Oh well. We had a great time with Kendal and Baby Elodie. Elodie is so sweet and totally adorable. On our way out of Starbucks we had to stop and take pictures by the flowers.

We left Starbucks story time and headed to the library story time. We are trying to hit up everything we can during Spring Break. The library was so much fun. They had a story, music, and shakers. Bennett had a great time with the shaker.

Next, we did the craft. Sort of. There was a little leprechaun to color. Bennett tried, but was more interested in running around the library.

We were excited that Max and his mommy came to meet us.

Here is our attempt at a group photo.

After all of the story times, we met Leslie and Carol at Fairfield for lunch.

As always, it was a great time!

After all of this running around, we headed to Ruston for Nana's birthday! She was born on St. Patty's Day so we celebrated Irish Style. Here is the adorable cake. I love the saying Rebecca chose.
Rebecca had the best idea to have Adam Bamburg, a local chef, come and cook for us. It was totally fabulous. Here is the salad:

Here is the appetizer. It was shrimp with romesco sauce.

Chef Adam dishing up the plates.

We had sea bass with confetti squash and Italian grits. YUM!

And here is the birthday girl with her cake and her kids.

Happy 55th! Here's to 55 more!
And of course a self-timer group shot! Here we are: Andrew, Neil, Richard, me, Russell, Stevie, Rebecca, Janine, and Bennett.
A family photo.

Bennett was having fun playing with Grand-Machine's hair!

Happy Birthday Nana!

Spring Break Day 4

Today was a pretty productive day. We got up around 9 am! Boy, that was nice. Bennett had pears and oatmeal for breakfast. I love getting to sit with him and feed him breakfast. It is such a sweet time for us to spend together.

While Bennett was having breakfast Uncle Andrew woke up and showed us what he did to Neil's coffee mug last night. He thought it was hilarious and I did, too! Yes, that is his coffee mug in jello. He took it to work...I am guessing that everyone thought it was funny.
After breakfast, we went to Red Door Interiors to buy a wedding gift and a baby gift. We had to get Bennett's 15 month shots at 11:30 so we had to hurry. This was the fastest we have EVER been in and out of our doctors office. In and out in less than an hour...it was amazing.

Poor little thing. He had no idea that 3 shots were coming. He was so happy playing in the mirror.

Here is our healthy boy. He weighed 24.6 lbs. (50th percentile), His head was 18.5 inches (50th percentile), and height was 29.5 inches (10th percentile).

After the doctor we went home to take a nap. Too bad Bennett decided not to take one. After the non-nap, we headed down to the Boardwalk to meet Aunt Carolyn, Courtney, and Cal. They are on Spring Break, too. I'm so glad that they decided to come in today. It was fun to spend a little time with them. We had lunch at Cheesecake and then Bennett, Cal, and I headed to the park.

Cal is so sweet to Bennett. He is such a good boy.

Cal loved pushing Bennett.

It was tough trying to push 2 boys. These boys were so good today.

Cal is such a good climber. He was having so much fun.

Cute!

Here is Bennett at bath time tonight. Poor little guy. He was a trooper!

I just realized how "lame" our Spring Break probably sounds! Most people go on fancy trips, but I am just excited to go to the park. It is so nice to be off work and to do whatever we want
