Sweet Summertime

We've been soaking up the last few days of summer around here.  But, that also comes with dentist appointments, projects around the house, and other random fun.  This was the first time Henry has actually let the dentist look in his mouth.  Great job, Henry!  He even got his teeth cleaned!

Thanks, Ray!
We got our kitchen cabinets painted white!  Yay!  Now, I just need to get my back splash done.  :)

Birthday parties galore

Neil changed out the medieval hall lights to these sweet drum lights.  He is so handy, he can do anything.

Summer Fun

Summer is such a fun time, but in Louisiana it is incredibly HOT!  We like to spend a lot of time indoors or with water if we are outdoors.  This has been my first summer to work since having kids and it has been a little hard piecing together camps and child care.  Thankfully, Nana and Granddad have come to our rescue and taken a lot of that burden off of us!  When we need childcare...they help!  We sure are glad Granddad is back from his 2 month sailing excursion so he could help Nana!

We saw a couple of movies and invited friends to both.  We saw the Minion movie with Sam and Dawson.  The boys love getting to invited friends.  We took Sarah Kathryn to school so we could enjoy the movies.

Henry and Dawson riding the motorcycle.  Too bad it didn't actually work.
Neil spent a few weeks working and traveling to W. TX Monday-Friday.  We would get up bright and early and get him from the airport.  We tried to eat breakfast at the airport each time, but we only made it once.  The other times, Neil got off the plane and got his bags early!  They loved being able to hang on his suitcase while he pulled it through the airport.
We got to go to the Bull Buteau Foundation Skeet Shoot again this year.  It is such a great cause!
And we won the GRAND prize! We won some sort of 20 gauge or a 12 gauge shot gun.  Can't remember the gauge, but I'm sure that doesn't matter...it is fancy!
We had Drew over to spend this night.  Both boys have gotten to spend the night out for the first time and both stayed at the Raines'.
Since Sarah Kathryn isn't walking and she is over 15 months old, the pediatrician suggested that we look into physical therapy.  We had an appointment at Shriner's and they gave us knee immobilizers.  I think she is totally fine, but they said she has wobbly ankles, low tone, and her hips need to mature.  She hates the things.
Since we love infomercials, we picked up the balloon bonanza and the boys had 10 minutes of fun with the 120 water balloons. How fun!
so fun and it really is as easy as it says.
We took Drew and Jake to see "Inside Out."  People said they didn't think it was appropriate for kids..what?  It was so cute and not sad like I heard it was.

Our summer is almost over.  It's been a great one.  And now let me get depressed as I think that I only have 11 more summers with all of us still together!  wahhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Beach Loving Babies 2015

Bennett wrote his name on the sand wall and it looked great!  The only sunglasses we had at the beach were SK's heart glasses...Bennett didn't care...he wore them anyway!
Drew  and Henry had lots of fun!  for whatever reason Bennett and Jake went in to the condos and these guys stayed out with the mamas.
This is so sweet!

Sweet B wrote Henry's name, too.

I took her out to the beach alone for a little photo shoot!

Our last night at the beach! :(

More 2015 Beach

The water the first couple of days was gorgeous..no seaweed, perfect sized waves, and CLEAR.. FAB!

We borrowed Erinn's ice cream maker and made home made vanilla ice cream by the pool.  So good.

Dad came down to the beach for a couples and acted somewhat pleasant.

Look at that water!

Blue Mountain Beach Fun

I caught a crab in that red bucket that Henry pooped in.

We buried Beau.  Henry put the starfish toys on his to make "nickels."

Not sure why my hand is on Neil's belly button

Fun lunch date at The Great Southern Cafe.  DIVINE!

Dinner date with the Raines' and Coxes at The Bay.  It was such a good restaurant.

I read on Pinterest to bring a little pool down for babies.  BEST IDEA EVER!  I think I might even bring one next year.  Henry loved playing in it and so did Leigh!

We buried Neil and he has starfish "nickels."

Bennett said "get my picture with Daddy in our matching canoe trip shirts!"  And then SK and Henry had to get in too.

Gammy and the bookends.

Beach Babe Sarah Kathryn

Our little girl was such a sweet thing at the beach.  She went with the flow and played, splashed, ate, crawled in the sand, and just had an all around good attitude...until the horrendous 12 hour drive home.  she only screamed for 9 of the hours.  but, we had a great trip down to the beach! ha!  I was so thankful that mom was able to come with us...she was the best help EVER!  We got to do so many things because of her.  She LOVES bathing the kids and Neil and I love letting her.  Anytime they get in the pool or ocean she thinks they need a bath... go Gammy!  We are happy to let you do that.

SK loves her Gammy
Sweetie pie!
She loved crawling all over the beach.

I just can't get enough of our matching outfits.  #weneedmore
she waved to every. single. person. the entire time.  It was precious!
Daddy's girl
I loved dressing her up even if we weren't going anywhere.  I didn't realize how many beach themed outfits she had.
This was Maddie and Amelie's dress...Erin gave it to her and Oh, how precious it is!
I sent Erin this picture and she said even Andre remembered the girls wearing it.  How sweet!
