Baseballin'

Bennett is so sporty.  I just love that he loves sports.  It's baseball season and he is playing machine pitch.  I thought that he was waaaaaaaaaay too young for it, but Little League changed the age rule and he makes him play up.  He loves it!  The machine isn't really calibrated to hit in the same spot, but that doesn't stop the Astros!  This isn't like coach pitch or t-ball where you get to try until you hit. 3 strikes and you're out.  This is how baseball really is so we need to learn the rules, I guess. They really try and have won their first 2 games.  Gooooooo Astros!
Big boy!

This boy.  I don't even know what to say about this little mischievous thing.  He's mine.

My sweet big boy!!

We only know a few of the kids names on the team.

Pops and Carolyn came to the first game.

Egg Dyeing at the 604

We have so much fun at the camp.  The guys like doing all the dirty work, get the tractor stuck, and riding 4-wheelers.  I had the greatest idea to bring the egg dyeing supplies out to the camp because it just doesn't matter if a mess was made...cue me not being uptight!  It was glorious!

Henry dunked his entire hand in each cup of color...I wasn't phased.

Sarah Kathryn is 11 months old!

Happy 11 months to our baby girl!  How did you get so big so fast?

Doctor appointment: none this month, but we were there twice last week.  Weight was 21 pounds.  And you were diagnosed with RSV.  We had a breathing treatment, steroid, and an inhaler.  Girl!

Clothes: You wear size 4 diapers.  You are wearing mostly 12-18 month clothes.  I've been putting bows in more and more and you just take them right out.  Ugh!  You look so cute either way.

Eating: You eat a 6 ounce bottle every three hours during the day while you are awake.  You eat fruit/oatmeal in the morning and 2 containers of food in the evening.  You've been trying new foods like blueberries, pasta, bread, and a few other things.  You seem to love baby food. :)  You don't really grasp the sippy cup idea.  We will keep working on it.

Sleeping:  You are getting great naps now. You take a good nap in the morning and a 2 hour nap in the afternoon.  You usually go to bed for the night between 7-8.  We put you in your bed and you cry for 20 seconds and go right to sleep.  We've had a few rough nights lately with you staying up all. night. long.  Poor girl.  The wheezing has been keeping you up at night.

Likes: being held while standing up...this is a sure fire way to get you to stop crying...we just stand up and you stop, riding in the car, riding in the stroller, eating, the paci, splashing during your baths, your brothers, watching people, smiling, knowing what is going on at all times, clapping, and laughing

Dislikes: seeing me walk out of a room, being alone, and being put in your bed

News this month: You are pulling up!  Only to your knees though.  You rarely lock your knees.  Hmmmmm.  I don't think you will be walking by 1 and that is just fine.  I like having you stay a baby for a long time!

Scheduled Saturday

I like when we have days when we have no plans, but I also love having a schedule.  I guess each of those days just comes when we need it most.  This Saturday was a scheduled Saturday.  I had 2 baby showers and we had a fun dinner.  I love showers!

We were excited about celebrating Lynsie and Baby Millie.  Yay for another Sigma Kappa legacy!

Our next shower was for Margaret, Neil's cousin on down the line twice removed and all of that.  She looks fabulous and we can't wait to meet her baby girl.
Rebecca and Beauty Queen

And lastly, we had our 2nd Quarter Financials dinner meeting for Preakness Properties.  After 3 years, it's our first celebratory dinner.  We went to Bella Fresca and then had drinks after at the Steakhouse.  What fun!

Bennett's Spring Fling

We had Bennett's Spring Fling fundraiser last week and it was so much fun.  I didn't know how it would be with having the whole family there, but it was so sweet!  All the kids had so much fun "dancing" (it was really hopping around) and seeing each other after school hours.  They presented the 5th graders, we ate, listened to music, and paid for our auction items.  What a fun party to look forward to while we are at FEMS.

Sister needed a bottle right when we got there.

My committee is "class projects" on PTA.  We sell art projects made by our kids for $10.  Of course, we had to buy Bennett's bulldog!

Henry woke up the next morning and said "where is my blue star?"

Party pics!

Even Pops and Carolyn joined us for the evening.

Dinner was a taco bar or chicken tenders. kid-friendly!
