100th Day of Kindergarten!

Bennett was so excited to dress up like he was 100 for the 100th day of Kindergarten!  I ordered suspenders, old man eyebrows and mustache, and glasses.  Neil tied his tie and I sprayed silver paint in his hair.  He was ready!!!

Before we got to school he said "I look older than Granddad and Grim!"

We got to school and took a picture out front.  He quivered his lip all morning because apparently you lose lip control when you are 100.  He walked a little hunched over, too.

Sweet class with his teacher

me and my 100 year old boy..Neil called him Bennett Button
Bennett, we are so proud of all your 100 days of kindergarten!  Way to go, sweet boy!  You are thriving and learning so much.  We love you to the moon and back!

January Dinner Gathering

We had the best time Saturday night enjoying dinner with friends.  Blake (Erin's brother) at Drake Catering did a fabulous job with our private 4 course meal.  It was so fun to have the place to ourselves!  Can't wait to go back for more fun!

9 month old girl!

Happy 9 months to our beauty queen!  Time to start party planning!

Doctor appointment: Double Ear infection...it's looking like we will be getting tubes soon.
Weight: 20 lbs 7 oz: 75-90 percentile
Length: 28 inches: 75 percentile
Head: 17 1/4: 50 percentile

Clothes: You wear size 3 diapers.  You are wearing mostly 9-12 month clothes and a couple 18 month things fit..  I think you are loving bows when I put them on you.  Bows actually stay clipped to your hair...yippee! You do not keep socks on AT ALL.  As soon as I put them on you....you take them right off.

Eating: You eat a 6 ounce bottle every three hours during the day while you are awake.  You eat fruit/oatmeal in the morning and 2 containers of food in the evening.  You yell if you don't get the food fast enough!

Sleeping:  You are getting great naps now.  It's only taken 9 months!  You take a good nap in the morning and a 2 hour nap in the afternoon.  You usually go to bed for the night between 7-8.  You wake up sometimes for the paci or you just wake up to cry out and then go back to sleep.  We put you in your bed and you cry for 20 seconds and go right to sleep.

Likes: being held while standing up...this is a sure fire way to get you to stop crying...we just stand up and you stop, riding in the car, riding in the stroller, eating, the paci, baths, your brothers, watching people, smiling, knowing what is going on at all times, your light up tea pot, clapping, and laughing

Dislikes: having something go over your head (clothes), being alone, being put in your bed

News this month: You now have 2 teeth!  Your top 4 teeth are coming in and it looks quite painful. You can pretty much get to anything you want my scooting around.  You keep getting up on all fours to crawl, but since we have no carpet you can't get traction.  It's coming though!  What a big girl you are!  We are enamored with you!  We love you to the moon and back!

watching your brothers run by.

pretty blue eyes.

2 teeth and 2 hands clapping!!

Mama is 33

I had a wonderful birthday this year.  It was really fancy because the kids were all out of school and I got to be with them all day long.  Happy Birthday, Mommy!  I cleaned, did laundry, changed diapers, and even had my birthday lunch at Chick-fil-a.  It really is the best.  It's not glamorous but I wouldn't have it any other way.  I received several calls and texts and I felt so special!

Dad cane over bright and early and brought me this pretty plant from Akin's.
We went to our Chick-fil-a lunch and Bennett kept saying that he was going to pay.  Well apparently Neil had given him some money to pay for my lunch.  Henry had been playing with Bennett's wallet and lost it so I ended up paying.  No big deal!  It's the thought that counts!

After Chick-fil-a, we met Mom for a birthday treat at Julieanne's.  Yum!  Thanks, Mom!

We went for birthday dinner at Trace because of Trace kids.  It is so nice to be able to drop them off and enjoy an adult meal!  Amy and Daniel joined us and I was so glad!

On Sunday, we celebrated with everyone else.  Yay!  We went back to Trace so the boys could go to Trace kids, but everyone wished they had just eaten with us.

Dad got me some fancy Hunter boots and Carolyn wrapped them for me.  Love the Sesame Street paper.

And!!!!  I work at a place that celebrates birthdays!  It is so nice just to be remembered, but to have a lunch in your honor AND a dessert made especially for you is just a treat.  I got to choose Newk's and Judy made me some low-calorie lemon bars.  How thoughtful!

Henry's date

We decided that Henry really needed some 2 on 1 time with Neil and me.  He got in trouble at school last week for being silly.  It seems that we are always doing homework with Bennett or feeding Sarah Kathryn and sweet Henry is left playing by himself.  It makes me so sad to type this.  He isn't really alone all the time, but he does know how to entertain himself unlike Bennett and SK.  He loves puzzles and playing with toys so much.

We love this boy!  He is so full of energy, mischief, and love.  He loves to snuggle "wis" us and sneaks in our bed almost every night.  Henry stays up late sometimes and we just talk to him and hold him until he is ready for bed...not often but the times we do it are sweet!

He loved having us all to himself.  We even went to McDonald's to get him a Happy Meal after, but we got in line and he said he wanted a hot-dog...so we went to Sonic.  He decided after we ordered that he wanted chicken nuggets instead.  Sorry, Hen!

Rain, Rain, went away...finally!

After raining for all of December and most of January we finally got to play outside!  While SK napped, my boys had fun just being outside.

nothing stops him from peeing when he feels like it.
